\n\nManage system backups, data recovery processes, and secure storage of digital records. \n\nMonitor system access to prevent unauthorized use of organisational data. \n\nSupport secure integration of digital tools and platforms used by the organisation. \n\nData Protection Officer Responsibilities\n\nEnsure organisational compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010. \n\nDevelop and implement data protection policies, procedures, and guidelines. \n\nMonitor how personal data is collected, processed, stored, and shared within the organisation.\n\nAct as the main contact point for data subjects and the Personal Data Protection Commissioner.\n\nAdvise management on data protection impact assessments (DPIA).\n\nOversee data breach response and notification procedures.\n\nConduct or coordinate regular data protection audits and risk assessments.\n\nRequirements\n\nBachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. \n\nMinimum 2–3 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or IT infrastructure management. \n\nBasic knowledge of data protection and privacy requirements under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010. \n\nExperience managing IT systems, networks, databases, or digital platforms. \n\nFamiliarity with data security practices, including system access control, backups, and data protection measures. \n\nAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive organisational data responsibly. \n\nGood problem-solving, analytical, and organisational skills. \n\nAbility to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical staff. \n\nExperience developing or implementing IT policies, procedures, or data protection guidelines is an advantage \n\nSkills\nSystem
