You can be part of the takeoff of an innovative business that develops cutting-edge products, delivers strong business value for customers, provides an engaging workplace for its employees, and serves a greater impact on the world. This is a golden opportunity for the right applicant to join us and help design, build, and lead Solidigm. We want a diverse team of dedicated professionals who will not just be Solidigm team members but contribute to how we shape the future of the organization. We are seeking applicants who will grow and thrive in our culture; be customer inspired, trusting, innovative, team-oriented, inclusive, results driven, collaborative, passionate, and flexible.\n Supply Chain business expert who manages a team of supply chain professionals and/or people managers for effective and efficient procurement operations, delivering on the Cost, Availability, Quality, and Sustainability objectives of the supply chain. Plans and implements activities related to the timely, cost-effective procurement, supply/demand, and inventory control. May also be responsible for some sourcing activities, in addition to coordinating global procurement efforts.\nKey Responsibilities:\nOperational Procurement\nOwn the day-to-day buying engine for indirect spend and hold it to a published service standard. This includes the intake and triage of purchase requests, requisition-to-purchase-order execution, sourcing waivers and competitive-bid thresholds, catalog and preferred-supplier enablement, and the resolution of invoice, receipt, and three-way-match exceptions in partnership with Accounts Payable and Finance.\nSet and manage cycle-time, quality, and compliance targets for the requisition-to-order process, and publish performance against them on a regular cadence to business partners and finance leadership.\nGovern the procurement policy for indirect spend: approval hierarchies, delegation of authority, competitive-bid and single-source justification rules, and the controls that keep spend on contract and off maverick channels.\nOwn the procurement systems and data used to transact indirect spend, including catalogs, supplier master data, item and category taxonomy, and the reporting layer that makes spend visible by category, business unit, and supplier.\nManage supplier onboarding and qualification end-to-end, including due diligence, risk screening, tax and banking validation, and supplier information maintenance, so a qualified supplier is ready before the business needs to transact.\nPartner with Finance on budget alignment, purchase-order accruals, and month-end and quarter-end close activities that depend on procurement data.\nStrategic Sourcing of Indirect Categories\nBuild and own multi-year category strategies across the indirect portfolio, grounded in spend analytics, market intelligence, demand forecasts, and total cost of ownership rather than unit price alone. Each strategy should name the sourcing approach, the target supplier base, the commercial model, the savings thesis, and the risks that would change the plan.\nLead complex competitive sourcing events from market scan and RFI through RFP, bid analysis, should-cost modeling, negotiation, and award, including the executive readouts that support the award decision.\nNegotiate and steward the contract portfolio with Legal, including master services agreements, statements of work, license and subscription terms, rate cards, rebates, volume tiers, and renewal and termination rights, and build the renewal calendar that prevents auto-renewals from passing unexamined.\nOwn the annual savings plan for indirect spend: set targets by category, maintain a pipeline of initiatives, and validate delivered savings and cost avoidance with Finance so reported results survive scrutiny.\nRun supplier relationship management for strategic and critical indirect suppliers, including segmentation, scorecards, quarterly business reviews, performance improvement plans, and joint innovation or productivity commitments.\nManage commercial and supply risk across the portfolio, including concentration, financial health, cybersecurity and data protection, business continuity, regulatory and trade compliance, and responsible-sourcing expectations, and embed those requirements into qualification and contract terms.\nCategory Scope\nThe indirect portfolio spans the following category families. Specific category ownership is assigned across the team and reviewed annually as spend and business priorities shift.\nProfessional Services\nConsulting\nEngineering services\nStaffing and contingent labor\nAudit support\nHR and benefits services\nTraining\nPrinting and office services\nIT and Software\nEnterprise software and SaaS subscriptions\nCloud and data center services\nHardware\nTelecom\nFacilities and Real Estate\nLeases\nConstruction and fit-out\nMaintenance\nUtilities\nSecurity\nJanitorial services\nMRO and Lab Operations\nMaintenance, repair, and operating supplies\nLab consumables and equipment services\nCalibration\nMarketing and Travel\nAgency and media services\nEvents and trade shows\nTravel\nFleet and corporate card programs\nLogistics and Corporate Services\nFreight and warehousing support\nLeadership and Organizational Development\nLead and develop a distributed team of directors, strategic sourcing leads, and contingent specialists. Set clear category and initiative ownership, coach negotiation and category-management capability, manage performance and succession, and build a bench deep enough that critical categories are never single-threaded. Shape the resourcing model across employees and contingent workers, and make the case for investment where capacity constrains value delivery.\nStakeholder Engagement and Governance\nAct as the senior procurement partner to business-unit and functional leaders, engaging early enough in the planning cycle to influence demand and specifications rather than arriving after a supplier has been chosen.\nRepresent indirect procurement in executive forums, present category strategies and savings performance to senior leadership, and chair the governance reviews where sourcing decisions, exceptions, and supplier escalations are settled.\nPartner with Legal, Finance, IT, Information Security, HR, and Environmental, Health and Safety so that policy, risk, and control requirements are designed into sourcing rather than bolted on afterward.\n Required:\n8+ years of experience in ESG/sustainability, supply chain risk management, corporate responsibility, or a closely related field, including experience building programs rather than only running established ones, with at least 3 years of experience leading teams.\nDemonstrated ownership of a large indirect spend portfolio, with measurable savings and cost-avoidance results validated by Finance.\nDeep command of both sides of the role: operational procurement process and controls, and strategic category management and competitive sourcing.\nStrong commercial and contracting judgment, including negotiation of master agreements, statements of work, and software and services terms alongside Legal.\nFluency with procurement and ERP systems, spend analytics, and the data discipline required to report spend and savings credibly.\nExecutive presence and the communication skills to influence senior stakeholders who do not report to this role.\nPreferred:\nMBA or a master's degree in a related discipline; professional certification such as CPSM, CPSD, or CIPS.\nExperience in semiconductor, high-technology manufacturing, or another capital-intensive industry with demanding supplier qualification standards.\nExperience standing up or maturing a procurement organization, including new policy, systems, or operating models, rather than only running an established one.\nExperience coordinating global procurement efforts while also being responsible for select sourcing activities.\n This position is also eligible to participate in Solidigm's restricted stock unit (RSU), restricted cash unit (RCU), and cash bonus programs. In addition, Solidigm offers a benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, supplemental life and AD&D insurance; short- and long-term disability; healthcare and dependent care flexible spending accounts, and a company match on eligible 401(k) plan contributions.\nThe compensation range for this role is $133,680.00 - $213,900.00. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.\nPowered by SmartRecruiters - Candidate Privacy Policy","description_format":"text","description_chars":9665,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":8,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"master","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[{"language":"English","level":"All levels","optional":false}]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"United States","iso":"US","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Supply Chain","Enterprise Storage Systems","Memory & Storage Chips"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-17T02:33:10Z"}],"visa":[{"country":"US","licensed_sponsor":true,"evidence":"H-1B filings in 12 months: 9","filings_12m":9,"filings_prev_12m":0,"green_card_filings_12m":0,"median_offered_wage_usd":122500,"route":null,"cap_exempt":false,"checked_at":"2026-10-15T11:24:14+00:00","sources":["US Department of Labor: LCA disclosure data (H-1B, H-1B1, E-3)"],"filings_for_role_12m":0}],"liveness":{"score":90,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.903,"p_room":1,"age_days":0,"expected_fill_days":38,"reasons":["conf:3","velocity","win:early"],"computed_at":"2026-10-17T05:46:00Z"},"pay":{"stated_usd_annual":213900,"is_top_pay":true},"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/solidigm-director-indirect-procurement","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/solidigm-director-indirect-procurement.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-18T10:33:38Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":15653,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-19T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":690993},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=690993"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fsolidigm-director-indirect-procurement"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fsolidigm-director-indirect-procurement"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fsolidigm-director-indirect-procurement"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/solidigm-director-indirect-procurement\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fsolidigm-director-indirect-procurement"}]}
