And we’re just getting started!\nThe Role\nWe are seeking a motivated Software Engineer Co-Op or Intern to join our R&D team. In this role, you’ll gain hands-on experience in full-stack development, working on both front-end and back-end components of Solink’s Core Applications and Data team. You’ll work closely with experienced developers, gaining insights into the development lifecycle and contributing to impactful projects in a fast-paced environment.\nWhat You’ll Do\nYou are supporting the development of new features, from initial design through to implementation, under the guidance of senior developers.\n\nYou are writing, testing, and debugging code to ensure high-quality software; you are participating in code reviews and helping to maintain coding standards.\n\nYou are collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers, to translate requirements into technical solutions.\n\nYou are assisting in documenting new features and enhancements to ensure ease of understanding and maintenance.\n\nYou are staying current with emerging technologies, tools, and trends; you are actively seeking feedback and opportunities for improvement.\n\nWhat You Bring\nMust-Have:\nYou are currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, seeking a co-op or internship opportunity.\n\nYou have proficiency in TypeScript, or similar languages (TypeScript preferred)\n\nYou have familiarity with at least one front-end framework (e.g., React).\n\nYou have a basic understanding of back-end languages and frameworks (e.g. Node.js).\n\nYou demonstrate strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and a passion for quality.\n\nYou have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.\n\nYou demonstrate a sense of ownership and are committed to supporting projects.\n\nYou have familiarity with Git and version control best practices.\n\nYou have an excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.\n\nYou have analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide effective solutions.\n\nYou have a passion for technical challenges, a drive for success, and the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.\nNice-to-Have:\n\nYou have exposure to cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, etc.).\n\nYou have experience with REST APIs\n\nYou have experience in high-velocity startup or AI-first environments\n\nSecurity Requirements\nCandidates must undergo a criminal records check upon hire;\n\nBe a Canadian Citizen (dual citizens included), or eligible to work in Canada;\n\nBe willing to comply with Solink’s own security policies and standards.\n\nOur Values\nWe do things the Solink way:\nAct with URGENCY - Our customers move fast, so we do too.\n\nDeliver with QUALITY - We sweat the details and hold a high bar.\n\nWin with TEAM - No egos.
