In Solita, you will be part of a team that is courageous and passionate, but at the same time easy-going. \nAs a Senior Data Engineer & Databricks Specialist, you will have these Key Responsibilities: \nDatabricks Architecture & Implementation: \nDesign and implement multi-hop pipeline architectures using Databricks Lakehouse. \nOptimize Apache Spark workloads for performance and scalability. \nData Engineering & Development: \nBuild robust ETL pipelines and data models using SQL and/or Python and Scala. \nDeliver production-grade solutions across multiple projects leveraging Databricks. \nConsulting & Advisory: \nLead client workshops to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions. \nAct as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring best practices and successful delivery. \nKnowledge Transfer & Mentorship: \nShare expertise with internal teams and clients, fostering adoption of Databricks best practices. \nDevelop reusable frameworks and documentation for future projects. \nWhat do we wish for you to have? \n4+ years in data engineering and 5+ years in consulting roles. \nProven track record delivering 2-3 Databricks projects end-to-end. \nDeep hands-on experience with Apache Spark and Databricks.\nFamiliarity with multi-hop pipeline architecture in Databricks. \nExperience with big data engines like Spark, Hadoop, Flink and Presto. \nProficiency in SQL. Also in Python and Scala as a plus. \nStrong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services. \nExcellent communication, presentation, and whiteboarding skills. \nAbility to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value. \nFluent in Dutch or French, and English\nWe foster a culture of experimentation and autonomy.
