This role is intended for an experienced, mid-career professional who can translate demanding customer requirements, evolving regulatory expectations, and business priorities into disciplined, data-driven action across the organization.\nYou will work across sustainability, product stewardship, R&D, plant operations, engineering, supply chain, and commercial teams to improve the quality, consistency, and usability of environmental data and disclosures. The role requires strong operational understanding of manufacturing processes, emissions sources, mass and energy balances, and abatement opportunities, as well as the ability to derive actionable insights from complex datasets to support customer commitments and continuous improvement initiatives.\nKey Responsibilities:\nLead sustainability strategy and roadmaps for ESM manufacturing sites, with clear priorities, milestones, and measurable outcomes\nLead customer engagement on sustainability requirements, disclosures, audits, and technical data requests for strategic accounts\nTranslate regulatory, customer, and market requirements into business, reporting, and operational roadmaps\nLead cross-functional sustainability programs across operations, engineering, and commercial teams\nProvide executive updates and decision support, clearly communicating risks, tradeoffs, and performance trends\nDrive continuous improvement in sustainability performance, data governance, and reporting, including KPI development, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions\nAnalyze plant sustainability and operational data to identify emissions, efficiency, and process optimization opportunities and convert findings into improvement plans\nEstablish data quality, validation, and documentation practices to support customer disclosures, internal reporting, and audit readiness\nYOU MUST HAVE\n6+ years of experience in sustainability, engineering, manufacturing, operations, LCA, or related technical fields\nProven success leading complex cross-functional programs and influencing technical, operational, and commercial stakeholders\nStrong knowledge of sustainability frameworks, customer disclosure requirements, and relevant US and international regulations\nAdvanced degree in engineering, environmental science, chemistry, sustainability, or a related technical field\nExperience in lifecycle assessment (ISO 14040/44/67), sustainability reporting, and customer- or product-level environmental disclosures\nStrong data analytics skills, including work with large, imperfect datasets, KPI development, trend analysis, and translating results into operational recommendations\nPractical understanding of plant operations, process engineering, emissions sources, utilities, and manufacturing drivers to engage credibly with site and engineering teams\nWE VALUE\nLCACP certification or a comparable sustainability analytics credential, with strong technical and ethical standards\nStrong strategic thinking and ability to influence senior stakeholders through credible analysis and clear recommendations\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to bridge technical details and executive messaging\nContinuous improvement mindset with a track record of improving processes, data integrity, and operational performance\nExperience supporting customer-facing sustainability discussions in technical or highly regulated industries\nAbility to work effectively in a matrixed environment with urgency, sound judgment, and attention to detail\nCommitment to operational excellence, customer responsiveness, and company values\nCOMPENSATION\nThe annual base salary range for this position is $92,000k - $115,000k.
