This position performs compensation analyses, supports market pricing and salary survey activities, assists with annual compensation cycles, and helps ensure compensation decisions are consistent, competitive, equitable, and aligned with the organization’s compensation philosophy.This role is hybrid, with regular in-office presence in San Diego, CA. Specific location details and expectations will be discussed during the interview process.\nJob Description:\n*This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned*\nPosition Responsibilities and Duties:\nAssist with compensation analyses for new and existing positions, including reviewing job descriptions, evaluating job scope and responsibilities, conducting market pricing, and recommending appropriate job levels, grades, and salary ranges.\nAssist with job evaluation and leveling activities, including identifying potential inconsistencies in job scope, level, title, or classification.\nComplete and submit annual and ad hoc compensation surveys, including Aon Radford salary surveys, coordinating the collection, validation, matching, and submission of required employee and job data.\nAssist with the administration and execution of annual merit, promotion, and bonus cycles, including eligibility reviews, data validation, compensation worksheets, system configuration and testing, reporting, and audits.\nSupport post-cycle reconciliation to ensure approved compensation changes are accurately reflected in HR and payroll systems.\nPerform compensation data audits to identify discrepancies, data quality issues, and potential inconsistencies.\nPerform compensation calculations and analyses, including range penetration, compa-ratio, percent increases, market positioning, and other compensation metrics.\nSupport compensation-related HRIS transactions, testing, and system enhancements as needed.\nAssist with the development and maintenance of compensation procedures, guidelines, tools, templates, and documentation.\nAdvises management on applicable state and federal employment regulations, and benefits and compensation policies.\nPartner with Talent Acquisition to develop, review, evaluate, and maintain job descriptions for job requisitions and the job description repository, ensuring accuracy and consistency in job scope, responsibilities, titles, and levels.\nParticipate in compensation-related projects and initiatives such as compensation audits, market studies, and policy updates.\nPerforms other related duties as assigned.\nMinimum Skills or Experience Requirements:\n2-4 years of experience as a compensation specialist or analyst required\nBachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent experience\nExperience with Aon Radford or similar compensation survey platforms preferred.\nExperience working with an HRIS or compensation management system preferred.\nResearch and analytical skills to gather and interpret data\nStrong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work well with teammates across all areas of the business, levels, and geographic locations\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with an attention to detail to produce analysis and present information in a clear, concise and effective manner\nExperience with Renewables and/or Construction preferred\nProficiency in Excel\nWorking knowledge of use of an HR system; Workday preferred but not required\nTime management skills and ability to deliver on commitments\nApplicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future.\nSOLV Energy Is an Equal Opportunity Employer\nAt SOLV Energy we celebrate the power of our differences.
