They will collaborate with multiple departments in planning, organizing, and directing the project work across our team, including engineering, scheduling, change management, budgeting, and closeout project documentation.This role is fully remote. Specific location details and expectations will be discussed during the interview process.\nJob Description:\n*This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned\nPosition Responsibilities and Duties:\nAble to perform all Preconstruction Project Manager job responsibilities \nMaintain cost control ledger and job cost statements \nPrepare billings and expedite payments \nSet up and maintain all aspects of the CMiC system \nPrepare bid packages and solicit and evaluate bids \nWrite project procedures \nReview plans for completeness and accuracy \nSupervise and train Preconstruction Project Engineers and clerical staff \nEnsure procurement activities align with LNTP scope, budget, and schedules \nCollaborate with the business development, engineering, accounting, construction, and legal departments to create contract scopes of work \nWork with Engineering and Procurement to understand design constraints and material lead-times to ensure long lead procurement items are appropriately released during the LNTP phase \nDefine and create LNTPs \nResearch and understand project specific design requirements (internal requirements, owner/contract requirements, and permit requirements) \nLiaison with the Engineering Manager to track changes that impact project schedule and/or budget and provide those changes to the Project Executive \nRepresent SOLV Energy in owner meetings \nSupport estimating reconciliation for each design iteration \nMaintain timely and accurate reporting to the Project Team and management, specifically cost forecasting and estimated cost at completion \nEffectively manage project risk; evaluate probability and severity of risk events as they are identified / anticipated and prepare mitigation plans with project team operations management \nDevelop and maintain good relationship with Owner, Engineers, Vendors and Subcontractors; develop strategies and skills to build a strong partnership with the Owner, while still ensuring prompt owner notification of impacts and preservation of rights under the EPC \nMinimum Skills or Experience Requirements:\nMinimum 3 years of Energy Storage Construction Experience. \nEngineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree, or equivalent experience \nThorough understanding of plans and specifications \nField experience (5-8 years, Project Engineer or Assistant Superintendent) \nLeadership ability - able to pull together team members from diverse backgrounds in a remote environment and organize them into a cohesive, high-performing project team \nEffective written and verbal communications skills and organizational skills \nStrong computer skills with MS Office suite, as well as other industry-standard tools, such as Bluebeam Revu \nFundamental knowledge of contract law and project accounting \nOrganizational and communication skills; must have strong people skills \nDetail-oriented, motivated self-starter \nAble to travel (estimated 25%) \n5+ years construction experience \n2+ years scheduling and estimating experience \nApplicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future.\nSOLV Energy Is an Equal Opportunity Employer\nAt SOLV Energy we celebrate the power of our differences.
