Specific location details and expectations will be discussed during the interview process.\nJob Description:\n*This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned\nPosition Responsibilities and Duties:\nStresses the importance that safety is the most important function, ensuring that all employees follow safe practices while working\n\nWork safely under all circumstances, seek guidance regarding unfamiliar work to ensure safety and understanding of tasks to be performed.\n\nOperate and care for company property, equipment, and tooling.\n\nService solar equipment in multiple solar plants under supervision\n\nPerform basic solar equipment testing, troubleshooting and maintenance tasks under supervision and utilizing monitoring programs.\n\nReplace or repair solar parts and/or equipment under supervision.\n\nRespond “on-call” as directed by supervisor to assist in emergency equipment repairs.\n\nPrepare accurate documentation and required reports of work performed\n\nComplete other responsibilities as assigned\n\nAssessing and suggest improved processes, collaborate on new technologies, and coordinate with EPC management regarding the implementation of these improvements\n\nUphold diversity and inclusion as an unconscious part of SOLV Energy culture.\n\nObjectives or Goals to Measure Performance:\nSuccessful completion of applicable solar work safety and technical training program\n\nAdherence to Company policies and procedures\n\nExcellent attendance and punctuality\n\nUnderstanding of and adherence to safety and quality procedures and practices\n\nCustomer/Client satisfaction\n\nImproved personal professional growth and education\n\nPositive project team attitude\n\nStaff development and training\n\nMinimum Skills or Experience Requirements:\nHigh School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or equivalent, Vocational/Technical School training a plus\n\nDemonstrated ability to work in a mechanical/electrical environment achieved through formal training or previous work experience.\n\nDemonstrated basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.\n\nDemonstrated ability to identify and perform effective Lock Out/Tag Out of energized parts/systems.\n\nDemonstrated basic understanding of a solar installation/plant.\n\nDemonstrated basic knowledge of testing equipment\n\nBasic computer operation skills\n\nAbility to follow both verbal and written instructions.\n\nObtain NFPA 70e Safety Training certification\n\nRemain current in all safety and technical trainings.\n\nEffective verbal and written English language communication skills.\n\nEffective organizational skills\n\nAbility to work at remote locations in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, inclement weather)\n\nAbility to work on an “on call” basis (may include weekends or after-hours situations)\n\nValid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record and ability to operate company vehicle.\n\nAble to travel (up to 10%) for training, certifications, and site coverage.\n\nPhysical Demands and Environmental Conditions:\nOccasional exposure to weather, harsh outdoor environment, vibration, dust and fumes, electric shock, radiation, toxic/caustic chemicals\n\nRequires frequent stooping/bending/crouching, reaching, handling, finger dexterity, sitting, standing, walking, and lifting 50 lbs. or more.\n\nConstant finger dexterity and ability to see details at close range and at a distance, hear, and talk, and possess depth perception.\n\nOccasional climbing and carrying, proximity to moving mechanical parts, working in high, exposed, or difficult to access places.\n\nThe noise intensity level may be high.\n\nAble to travel (up to 10%) for training, certifications, and site coverage.\n\nApplicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future.\nSOLV Energy Is an Equal Opportunity Employer\nAt SOLV Energy we celebrate the power of our differences.
