Specific location details and expectations will be discussed during the interview process.\nJob Description:\n*This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned\nPosition Responsibilities and Duties:\nPerform all Superintendent/Project Engineer duties as required.\nRecruit, screen, hire, mentor, coach, and develop field staff, fostering a high-performance culture, growth mindset, and supporting internal promotions.\nServe as the primary on-site representative for assigned projects, maintaining strong relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure clear communication, issue resolution, and project success.\nManage direct reports and subcontractors in all field areas, providing guidance, supervision, and support to ensure consistent execution and high-quality outcomes.\nLead by example as a team player with a strong work ethic and a passion for renewable energy.\nEnforce safety procedures and actively participate in the Safety Training Program, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.\nSet and maintain work quality standards; conduct inspections, audits, and constructability reviews to verify adherence to specifications, plans, and Solv Energy standards.\nOversee multiple projects across a large geographic area, coordinating project support, logistics, materials, schedules, and subcontractor meetings to ensure milestones and deadlines are met.\nReview drawings, specifications, and subcontractor submittals; chair pre-job and regular subcontractor meetings to monitor punch lists and ensure project readiness and timely completion.\nMaintain and manage CPM schedules, coordinating with teams to meet project milestones and deadlines.\nPartner with estimating teams to develop accurate project cost estimates and proposals, providing insights from on-site observations to enhance cost competitiveness.\nPrepare and maintain operational reports, including time sheets, work orders, daily logs, invoice approvals, and punch list documentation, and provide regular progress updates to executive leadership highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.\nPerform manual work only under exigent conditions as required.\nPerform other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.\nMinimum Skills or Experience Requirements:\nEngineering, construction management, or architectural degree, or equivalent experience (2 years as superintendent)\nPrefer 8 years of field construction experience at a supervisory level\nPrefer 3 years in utility-scale solar projects.\nThorough knowledge of construction methods, practices, regulations, and safety standards, including OSHA, NFPA 70E, and NEC.\nStrong knowledge of job scheduling, planning, expediting, and cost control.\nWorking knowledge of all trades, with the ability to read and understand specifications for all crafts.\nProven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, assuming responsibility for overall management and success.\nExperience conducting constructability reviews and coordinating with estimating teams to develop accurate project cost estimates.\nStrong problem-solving skills and a sense of urgency.\nExcellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and motivate high-performing teams.\nMust possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel and work onsite, with scheduled time off every 3 weeks.\nApplicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future.\nSOLV Energy Is an Equal Opportunity Employer\nAt SOLV Energy we celebrate the power of our differences.
