Specific location details and expectations will be discussed during the interview process.\nJob Description:\n*This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned\nPosition Responsibilities and Duties:\nTechnical lead for SCADA troubleshooting and diagnostics including but not limited to; plant controls, data acquisition, field level devices, and network related issues. \nSupport DAS (data acquisition system) installations and retrofits on existing PV systems on an as needed basis. \nDocument existing equipment and functionality as it relates to the PV plant communications network and DAS systems. \nUtilize software based diagnostic tools to aid in troubleshooting of complex plant SCADA systems. \nMaintain point of contact to SOLV Energy O&M team for SCADA technical support requests. \nIdentify appropriate escalation path for problems that require SCADA engineering support. \nCoordinate with customers, vendors, and field technicians for on-site and/or remote troubleshooting and diagnostics. \nMaintain support records and maintenance activity for SCADA devices deployed in the field. \nContribute to the design and requirements for SCADA solutions by providing voice of customer feedback. \nDevelop and maintain support knowledge base for SCADA related troubleshooting and diagnostics. \nDeliver service and support to end-users using a variety of third-party software monitoring applications. \nIdentify and learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization. \nObjectives or Goals to Measure Performance:\nAdherence to Company policies and procedures \nUnderstanding of and adherence to safety and quality procedures and practices \nCustomer/Client satisfaction \nImproved personal professional growth and education \nPositive project team attitude \nMinimum Skills or Experience Requirements:\nTechnical or engineering degree in a related field, or verifiable applicable field experience. \nGeneral knowledge of SCADA system design, setup, commissioning and support. \nUnderstanding of PV Solar Plant AC and DC electrical design and operation fundamentals. \nExperience with basic PV solar monitoring functions and designs. \nExperience in a customer support role with direct customer interaction. \nCustomer escalation and conflict resolution skills desirable. \nKnowledge of Serial RS-232 / RS-485, and Ethernet TCP/IP networking a plus. \nExcellent communications skills. \nAbility to perform scheduled maintenance and respond to system outages during off-hours. \nUnderstanding of industrial automation protocols (Modbus RTU/TCP, DNP3, OPC UA and DA). \nUnderstanding diagrams and schematics including but not limited to, power system, networking and control, electrical, mechanical and civil layouts. \nUnderstanding of power plant operating procedures. \nAbility to work with sub-contractors and field personnel. \nApplicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future.\nSOLV Energy Is an Equal Opportunity Employer\nAt SOLV Energy we celebrate the power of our differences.
