This individual will be responsible for consolidating financial data from multiple entities, preparing financial statements and other external reporting, and performing technical accounting research and analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical accounting background, exceptional analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills, and the ability to thrive in a changing environment.This role is hybrid, with regular in-office presence in San Diego, CA or Edison, NJ. Specific location details and expectations will be discussed during the interview process.\nJob Description:\n*This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned\nPosition Responsibilities and Duties:\nReconcile intercompany and interdivisional transactions and balances and prepare necessary elimination entries for consolidation for multiple entities.\n\nPrepare quarterly and annual financial statements and related disclosures in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations\n\nPerform technical accounting research and interpret accounting guidance to ensure compliance and proper accounting treatment of complex transactions. Draft technical accounting memoranda to formalize conclusions.\n\nMonitor and assist in implementation of new accounting standards and reporting requirements as needed.\n\nSupport and help to maintain consolidated reporting systems, including reconciliation of data and reports.\n\nSupport M&A integration activities, including purchase accounting, accounting policy alignment, integrating into consolidated reporting and structuring eliminations.\n\nSupport SOX 404 compliance efforts, including assisting in the design and implementation of control enhancements as necessary.\n\nSupport external service providers, such as auditors and valuation specialists, by providing requested documentation and explanations in timely manner.\n\nComplete other responsibilities as assigned.\n\nMinimum Skills or Experience Requirements:\nB.S./B.A. in Accounting /Finance from a four-year university required.\n\nMinimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting (auditing), public company financial reporting, or mix of both is required to be considered qualified for this position.\n\nExperience preparing or auditing SEC filings required.\n\nCPA and Big 4 experience is highly preferred.\n\nConstruction and/or renewable energy industry experience is preferred.\n\nStrong technical background and proficient knowledge of current U.S. GAAP.\n\nAbility to organize work and handle multiple projects with concurrent deadlines.\n\nExcellent analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills, with a high attention to detail.\n\nEffective written and verbal communication skills\n\nReliability, dependability, and flexibility.\n\nSOLV Energy Is an Equal Opportunity Employer\nAt SOLV Energy we celebrate the power of our differences.
