Help us shorten the time it takes to get critical tools developed and into the hands of Warfighters who need them and to quickly aid the people who need it.\nThe successful Ground Systems Engineer will support the Ground Segment Team on a new program focused on systems engineering and integration of new Space Domain architecture. Tasks include assessing the capabilities planned for the satellite vehicle Tracking and Transport segments, and how these interact with the ground architecture. The Ground Systems Engineer will support development of an implementation plan to ensure compatibility and interoperability of the combined system.\nDuties Include:\nSupport efforts to perform System-level requirements development, requirements flow-down, interface design, integration, and verification \nWork with the Ground Segment, Ground Segment partner and vendor engineers to develop solutions incorporating the requirements of space vehicle satellite segments and externals such as: \nCustody algorithm hosting \nLink-16 and IBS message generation, encapsulation, and routing \nGround segment interface into a mission data processing enterprise \nExternal interface management \nPayload planning, scheduling, and tasking. \nDetermine where gaps exist and perform trades to determine options including potentially performing or subcontracting for the work \nSupport development of a detailed Mission Operations Integration Plan in coordination with mission stakeholders \nWork with stakeholders (Segments, Users, Partners) to define operational details, lower-level use cases, requirements, interfaces, and mission threads. Plans, coordinates, and documents solutions to total systems or subsystems using internally created and/or commercial off-the-shelf products. \nAnalyses, designs, tests, and evaluates systems that handle Synthetic Aperture Radar data.\nEvaluate the demonstrations, simulations, and testing required to demonstrate mission capability and document the interfaces, internal and external operations and resources required to successfully accomplish them \nProvide input to Systems Architects to develop architectural and technical schematics showing interactions (e.g., operational functions, data, physical connections, and timing) among the segments and their various elements.\nQualifications:\nActive TS.SCI Security Clearance w/CI Poly\nBachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Imagery Analysis, or related STEM degree program, or related equivalent additional experience. \nExperience required supporting similar Space Domain architectures \nRequirements management experience and experience writing system level requirements, allocating requirements to segments, performing trace assessment of implementation-level requirements to system requirements, and supporting verification & validation activities. \nSpace systems experience with specific experience supporting ground systems, ground architecture, and experience with Mission Management, Constellation Management, and/or Network Management software.\n\nDesired Skills:\nMaster’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM degree program. \nPrevious IC or DoD program/project work experience\nSolvarus employment relationships are made without regard to age, race, color, religion, creed, sex, national origin, marital status, veteran status, the presence of any physical or mental disability, genetic information or any other status or characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law.
