And of course, in your ideas to improve lives while preserving our planet’s beauty for the generations to come.\nAbout the role\nOur Payroll Operations & Service Delivery team, composed of payroll professionals across multiple countries, is integrated in the Human Resources Service Line and focuses on delivering accurate, timely, and compliant payroll services in collaboration with local HR teams, Finance, external payroll providers, and Solvay's Global Business Services (GBS) organization.\nAs a Payroll Trainee, you will support the payroll team in delivering accurate and timely payroll services while gaining hands-on experience in payroll administration, employee data management, payroll processing, and compliance activities. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop foundational payroll knowledge and build expertise in payroll operations within a global environment.\nIn addition to supporting day-to-day payroll activities, the Payroll Trainee will contribute to process improvements, data validation, reporting activities, and payroll compliance initiatives, while ensuring confidentiality and attention to detail in all payroll-related tasks. You will be accountable for:\nSupport payroll processing activities, including payroll inputs, timesheet validation, adjustments, deductions, and benefit-related entries.\nMaintain accurate payroll records, employee data, and documentation while handling sensitive employee information with the highest degree of confidentiality.\nAssist with payroll audits, reconciliations, data validation, and compliance with payroll policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.\nProvide first-line support for payroll inquiries and contribute to month-end and year-end payroll activities.\nSupport payroll reporting, system testing, and continuous process improvement initiatives.\nWe offer an internship (12 months) contract based on hybrid working mode.\nAbout you\nBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.\nStrong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills, with a willingness to learn payroll processes, systems, and legislation.\nCompetencies:\nFluency in English\nBasic understanding of payroll, finance, or HR processes.\nPrevious academic, internship, or project experience involving data management or administrative activities, is considered a plus.\nBehaviors:\nConfidentiality and Integrity\nTeamwork and Collaboration Mindset\nProblem Solving Mindset and good Time Management Skills\nAbout the pay\nAttractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined according to academic background.
