And of course, in your ideas to improve lives while preserving our planet’s beauty for the generations to come.\nAbout the role\nOur Technology Process Development team, composed of 7 people, is integrated in the Research and Innovation (R&I) department within the Peroxides Global Business Unit, and focuses on development, scale-up, industrialization, and deployment of new process technologies in collaboration with researchers, plant teams, project managers, R&I leadership and suppliers.\nAs a R&I Process Engineer who is passionate about research & innovation, you will contribute to the Global Business Unit's (GBU's) target in maintaining our leading edge technology and making process improvements through technical expertise and collaboration.\nYou will be accountable for :\nDevelop process flow sheets, mass and energy balances, and simulation studies.\n\nScale up laboratory process data and collaborate with manufacturing sites to identify the most integrated solutions.\n\nAnalyze laboratory data, troubleshoot process issues, and recommend improvements.\n\nEvaluate techno-economic scenarios based on developed process flow sheets.\n\nCommunicate project progress and present findings to stakeholders through oral presentations and written reports.\n\nApply HSE rules and housekeeping practices while fostering a culture of safety.\n\nContribute to laboratory safety and support the protection of people and assets.\n\nWe offer a fixed term contract (6 months, extendable) based on onsite working mode. The role is based in Brussels, with occasional travel to the Netherlands (approximately 1 to 2 days per month).\nAbout you\nRelevant Master's degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering. relevant work experience as a process engineer. Experience in the chemical industry is highly preferred.\nCompetencies:\nStrong knowledge of process design fundamentals, including PFDs, P&IDs and equipment sizing.\n\nProficiency in Aspen Plus / Aspen HYSYS.\n\nProject management skills.\n\nEnglish proficiency, additional languages are welcome.\n\nBehaviors:\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.\n\nCollaborative mindset with an innovative approach to process development.\n\nAbout the pay\nAttractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. The base pay expected for this role is:\n€ 65 200 - 88 500 per year in Belgium.\nYour salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience.
