And of course, in your ideas to improve lives while preserving our planet’s beauty for the generations to come.\nAbout the role\nOur Hydrogen Peroxide manufacturing facility, composed of around 40 people, focuses on producing hydrogen (H2) and hydrogen peroxide (HP) in collaboration with the Maintenance, Purchasing, Logistics and Commercial teams.\nAs a Site HSE Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the safe and compliant operations of the site in the areas of safety, health and environment as well as providing support to the Production Manager and Site Manager. You will get the opportunity to contribute to maintaining and improving the standards of a complex Major Hazard Facility (MHF) site. You will be accountable for:\nthe safe management of the site’s hydrogen and hydrogen peroxide plant, alongside the Production Manager\n\nMaintaining and improving the safety systems\n\nMaintaining ISO accreditation (ISO 45001, 14001 and 9001)\n\nPromoting and undertaking site audits on the Solvay Lifesaving rules\n\nLiaising with local authorities including Safe Work NSW(Safe Work New South Wales ), EPA(Environmental Protection Authority ), NGERS(National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting System ), AICIS(Australian Industrial Chemicals Introduction Scheme ), and Continuous improvement and working to best practice\n\nWe offer a permanent contract based on onsite working mode.\nAbout you\nRelevant education degree or equivalent in Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Safety or similar qualification . Relevant at least 3 years of work experience in an operational safety role at a chemical or industrial site. Exposure to laboratory operations and people management is favourable\nCompetencies:\nSafety leadership experience in a Tier 2 or Tier 3 Major Hazard Facility (MHF).\n\nExperience reporting to and liaising with Australian Safety and Environmental regulatory entities.\n\nBehaviors:\nStrong safety focus\n\nTimely and effective decision making\n\nEffective communication and leadership skills\n\nAbout the pay\nAttractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. The base pay expected for this role is AUD 101,520 - AUD 143,500 per year in Australia.\nYour salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience.
