Our capability centers combine deep technical expertise, proven delivery methodologies, and sector-specific knowledge to address complex business challenges quickly and effectively.\nWe're on the lookout for a Mobile Test Automation Engineer to join our team working on a social news aggregation platform.\nWhat you’ll do\nDesign, maintain, and execute automated and manual tests for iOS and Android mobile applications.\n\nBuild and maintain mobile automation suites using XCUITest and Espresso.\n\nPerform hands-on functional, regression, integration, exploratory, usability, and end-to-end testing on real devices and emulators.\n\nDiagnose failures, investigate defects, and partner with engineering teams to identify root causes.\n\nDevelop test plans, test cases, test procedures, and release-quality reports.\n\nIntegrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and monitor test and infrastructure stability.\n\nCollaborate with developers, product managers, and partner engineering teams throughout the Agile development lifecycle.\n\nIdentify cross-platform impact areas and provide risk-based test coverage for new features and experiments.\n\nHelp drive quality practices across unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.\n\nEstimate testing effort and work independently in a fast-paced environment.\n\nRequired skills & experience\n4+ years of experience building or maintaining automation frameworks for mobile applications.\n\nAdvanced hands-on experience with XCUITest and Espresso - framework development, maintenance, debugging, and CI execution.\n\nStrong experience testing iOS and Android mobile applications, preferably social media or high-scale consumer apps.\n\nExperience building scalable mobile automation frameworks and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.\n\nStrong knowledge of mobile QA methodologies, SDLC, test strategy, and test documentation.\n\nStrong understanding of mobile platforms, device fragmentation, networking, permissions, notifications, deep links, and app lifecycle behavior.\n\nAbility to independently create test plans and coverage strategies from product requirements.\n\nStrong exploratory testing and risk-assessment skills.\n\nExperience working in Agile/Scrum environments with frequent or weekly production releases.\n\nExperience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and common test-management systems.\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\n\nPreferred qualifications\nExperience testing social, community, messaging, or user-generated content platforms at scale.\n\nExperience testing across iOS, Android, web, and mobile web.\n\nExperience with API testing and backend validation.\n\nExperience testing experiments, feature flags, personalisation, feeds, notifications, and user-generated content.\n\nExperience supporting frequent or weekly production release cycles.\n\nWhen you join Solvd, you'll…\nShape real-world AI-driven projects across key industries, working with clients from startup innovation to enterprise transformation.\n\nBe part of a global team with equal opportunities for collaboration across continents and cultures.\n\nThrive in an inclusive environment that prioritizes continuous learning, innovation, and ethical AI standards.\n\nReady to make an impact?\nIf you're excited to build things that matter, champion responsible AI, and grow with some of the industry’s sharpest minds.
