To do so effectively, candidates must be able to problem solve and deal with ambiguous scopes to provide clients with flexible solutions on a fast-paced schedule. Additionally, a successful candidate must possess professional written and verbal communication skills, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as this role will interact directly with our clients, which include many of the top companies within the Data Center industry.\n\nBachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering.\n\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license.\n\nPrevious experience within Data Centers and/or Data Center Facility Design.\n\nDemonstrated understanding of design risk factors for redundancy and resiliency.\n\nUnderstanding of design differences in hyper-scale, edge, and colocation data centers.\n\nPossesses a proficiency in 3D modeling as well as managing and creating complex families with custom parameters within Autodesk Revit.\n\nFamiliarity with Data Center tier rating systems.\n\nStrong knowledge of Autodesk Revit\n\nExperience utilizing BIM 360, Navisworks, Revit work sets, view templates and project phasing.\n\nAbility to thrive in an ambiguous environment.\n\nSelf-motivated to deliver results when given a deadline.\n\nAttention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities simultaneously.\n\nDemonstrated ability to analyze and leverage data and metrics to challenge current assumptions.\n\nUse AutoCAD/Revit/BIM and engineering studies software to perform engineering tasks.\n\nSound, professional communication skills to engage in client-facing activities.\n\nAbility to lead projects including management of project schedules, budgets, and staffing.\n\nSupport business development, including developing scope-of-work, level-of-effort, and site visits to understand the scope of the pursuit.\n\nStrong leaderships skills, with desire to train and develop early career and/or inexperienced professionals.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n\nBachelor's Degree in Engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing.\n\nMinimum of 8 years related work experience.\n\nAll applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nEngineering Standards:\n\nProvides guidance and direction on department design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes and Client policies \n\nAssists in developing, maintaining and updating engineering standards \n\nLeads efforts and teams to deliver detailed design of large-scale data center environments\n\nConducts field surveys, drawings and other data to assess conditions of existing facilities and develop summary reports\n\nQuality/Continuous Improvement: \n\nMay be responsible for ensuring compliance with Client quality program\n\nProvides guidance and direction to others to ensure designs comply with specifications, codes and customer requirements\n\nSupports continuous improvement and change management efforts \n\nReviews drawing and modeling production work, including problem analysis\n\nEngineering Production: \n\nPrepares and/or reviews a variety of technical engineering deliverables to ensure installations and designs conform to standards and customer requirements\n\nPerforms complex research and develops recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection \n\nProvides guidance and insight into design risk factors for redundancy and resiliency\n\nOversees and compiles collection, assimilation, and management of data for engineering work.
