Here, you will make an impact by:\nLead and develop a multidisciplinary AI/ML technical team, including AI engineers and data engineers, with accountability for hiring, onboarding, career growth, technical skill development, performance coaching, and day-to-day people leadership in a global delivery environment.\nServe as a hands-on technical leader by architecting, designing, and guiding development of AI/ML solutions from problem framing and feasibility assessment through proof of concept, pilot, production deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.\nApply traditional machine learning and modern AI techniques, including deep learning, statistical modeling, large language models, generative AI, retrieval-augmented generation, and agentic AI systems, to solve complex, ambiguous, and novel business problems.\nPartner with product managers, engineers, data scientists, platform teams, business stakeholders, and enterprise architecture to define scope, technical approach, success metrics, deployment requirements, integration needs, and adoption plans for AI-enabled solutions.\nBuild scalable, reliable, and maintainable AI systems with rigorous model evaluation practices focused on performance, generalization, robustness, fairness, explainability, data quality, edge cases, human review points, and responsible AI principles.\nEnsure AI solutions align with enterprise documentation, governance, privacy, security, compliance, and regulatory expectations while communicating technical strategy, tradeoffs, risks, milestones, and business outcomes clearly to senior and executive stakeholders.\nYour Skills and Expertise\nTo set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science or a related technical field AND 10 years of job related experience\nIn addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:\n8+ years of experience working in AI/ML roles, with track record of delivering production AI solutions\n3+ years of experience managing and developing technical teams\nProfessional proficiency in English required, with regular collaboration across global teams.\nStrong foundation in traditional AI and machine learning techniques, such as deep learning, decision trees, random forests, optimization techniques and statistical modeling\nHands on experience with modern AI approaches, including large language models (LLMs) and transformer architectures, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, Agentic AI and autonomous or semi- autonomous AI architectures\nAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:\nAdvanced degree (e.g., Master’s or PhD) in artificial intelligence, machine learning, or related field.\nHistory of launching multiple AI products/programs in parallel, particularly in global or regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, medtech).\nExperience leading multi-disciplinary AI research and development teams that innovate at the forefront of the field.\nFamiliarity with cloud-native AI/ML platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and the ability to evaluate and integrate external AI technologies or vendors.\nSuccess in driving end-to-end process improvements and operational excellence across complex programs.\nProven ability to lead, motivate and develop diverse technical teams\nWork location: Remote\nTravel: May include up to 10% domestic/international\nMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).\nSupporting Your Well-being\nSolventum offers many programs to help you live your best life - both physically and financially.
