Here, you will make an impact by:\nDesign and develop primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging.\n\nSelect packaging materials such as corrugated boxes, plastics, foam, paper, and films.\n\nReduce packaging costs while maintaining product protection.\n\nSupport new product launches by supporting new packaging specifications.\n\nCollaborate with suppliers to evaluate new materials and packaging technologies.\n\nLead continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives.\n\nYour Skills and Expertise:\nTo set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering or science discipline (completed and verified prior to start)\n\nOR\nHigh School Diploma/GED AND four (4) years of packaging, product, or manufacturing engineering experience in a private, public, government or military environment\n\nAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:\nExperience with packaging design, manufacturing processes, and package testing activities\n\nExperience working with packaging materials and distribution environments\n\nExperience using CAD software and Microsoft Office applications\n\nExperience applying analytical and project management approaches to support packaging-related projects and initiatives\n\nExperience communicating technical information to stakeholders through verbal discussions, presentations, and written documentation\n\nExperience developing packaging artwork\n\nExperience working in a medical device manufacturing environment\n\nExperience performing packaging validation activities and applying testing standards, such as ASTM and ISTA\n\nWork location:\nOnsite: Brookings, SD\n\nTravel: May include up to 10% domestic/international\nRelocation Assistance: May be authorized\nMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).\nSupporting Your Well-being\nSolventum offers many programs to help you live your best life - both physically and financially.
