We are a collective that looks to everyone to actively contribute to the design discourse in the office.\n\nSummary\nThe IT Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex software development and infrastructure projects within SOM's Office of Technology. The role focuses on building and managing technical workflows, enforcing project standards, and automating key operational tasks. The position reports to the Office of Technology Leadership and works closely with other teams and stakeholders.\nPosition Responsibilities\nLeads the end-to-end delivery of software development and infrastructure initiatives, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.\n\nTranslates business requirements into technical controls and maintains project backlogs for product development.\n\nManages and monitors project schedules, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.\n\nReviews, maintains, and creates operational and procedural documentation including; standards, architecture diagrams, runbooks, and tool configurations.\n\nCoordinates with infrastructure and engineering teams to ensure that secure configuration standards are applied across services.\n\nImplements and refines project management methodologies to optimize team efficiency.\n\nContributes to defining the technical scope of projects and identifying risks in system design or operations.\n\nPromotes a collaborative mindset among peers and across technical teams.\n\nProvides reporting and metrics on the project portfolio for executive sponsors and firm leadership on a regular basis.\n\nPerforms other duties as assigned in support of team objectives.\n\nLeadership\nIn collaboration with team members, stakeholders, and leadership - contributes to a clear and consistent work plan to achieve the project budget, deliverables, and schedule.\n\nActively engages with and manages stakeholders relationships - supports team members with stakeholder management.\n\nActively engages in internal professional development opportunities.\n\nContributes to the development of standards, policies, and procedures.\n\nProtects SOM from financial and legal risk.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n4-6 years of direct project management experience in software and infrastructure projects\n\nDemonstrated knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and product development processes.\n\nProficient in project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Asana, Smartsheet, Linear, etc) and familiar with scripting/automation tools such as Git or Python.\n\nSkilled in technical documentation and standard operating procedure development.\n\nClear and direct communicator, able to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.\n\nStrong attention to detail and ability to work independently within defined objectives.\n\nDemonstrated experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPMP (Project Management Professional) certification\n\nExperience in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction firms.\n\nCertified ScrumMaster (CSM) or other advanced Agile certification\n\nExperience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and managing cloud-native infrastructure projects\n\nFamiliarity with information security and risk management frameworks\n\nFamiliarity with Infrastructure-as-code and DevOps best practices\n\nExperience leading projects focused on data management, data warehousing, or business intelligence\n\nAre you ready to join a team of creative professionals working on transformational projects around the world?
