You will be following prescribed routes, ensuring the comfort, security and wellbeing of all passengers throughout their journey. You will also be responsible for carrying out routine vehicle maintenance checks, maintaining the vehicle’s cleanliness and ensuring all equipment used is operated correctly and in line with required guidelines.\nKey responsibilities\nAttend to the general safety and wellbeing of passengers whilst travelling.\nAssist passengers where it is safe to do so, on and off the vehicle and carry out all other duties associated with the collection and returning of passengers.\nEnsure that all correct procedures and safety guidelines are complied with, including when operating rear lift equipment.\nUndertake routine daily maintenance of the vehicle, maintaining a clean and tidy condition.\nEnsure that daily and weekly vehicle checks are undertaken.\nWhat you’ll bring\nClass D1 on the driving licence.\nGood with people, reliable, good timekeeper.\nSensible, safety conscious.\nFlexible approach to work and shifts.\nDemonstrates a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of people with disabilities.\nAbility to safely manage and operate vehicle-based health & safety equipment (e.g., wheelchair restraints, floor tracking).\nStrong awareness of safety procedures, including securing passengers and mobility equipment.\nGood communication skills for interacting with passengers, families, carers, and school staff.\nAbout the team\nWe are a small, friendly team that works together to provide an excellent service for our passengers.
