The IT QA Analyst participates in the quality assurance processes, performing tests on software applications under the test to identify, isolate and help resolve issues. Initiates tests, analyzes results, and suggests different solutions to technical problems ensuring the quality of the end product meets business expectations.\nLocation: This position will be based out of our Lenexa, KS office, Topeka, KS and Lubbock, TX office with a hybrid schedule (3 days in office; 2 days at home). We strive for collaboration, which is why we offer a work environment where our employees thrive and develop long-lasting careers.\nOur business, your impact, our opportunity:\nWhat you’ll be doing:\nWork with different IT teams to assess performance and quality (real and perceived) of software products against specified exit criteria and standards\nDesign and execute test scenarios, RTM, test cases Develop and document application test plans based on software requirements and technical specifications\nWrite, maintain and/or automate software testing\nIdentify, analyze, and document all defects, programming errors (software bugs) and operational characteristics that are inconsistent with stated requirements and design specifications\nRecord and document results of test execution, distributing the defect tracking report\nEnsure compliance with general quality assurance best practices, accepted industry standards and those standards set forth by upstream sources\nOperate and maintain test environments and test data\nPerform impact analysis and risk assessment\nTracks quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts\nSuggests improvements in test planning and execution\nWhat you’ll bring:\nMS Outlook\nDefect Tracking System (any)\nExperience with mostly used MS Office suites\nExperience testing various software applications in in different platforms\nExperience in environmental management\nGood knowledge and understanding of Software Programming languages and Databases\nExperience in Compatibility and non-UI based testing \nWorking knowledge of data integration\nGood understanding of SDLC and various SDLC models\nExcellent written and verbal communications skills\nExcellent problem solving and analytical skills\nExperience writing manual test cases\nExperience executing manual and automated test cases\nExperience delivering test results\nAbility to work with a team to test software and determine root causes of failures\nAbility to create and execute a test plan\nAbility to work independently and provide guidance to the junior team members\nPhysical Requirements & Work Conditions\nSedentary work.
