We strive for collaboration, which is why we offer a work environment where our employees thrive and develop long-lasting careers.\nOur business, your impact, our opportunity:\nWhat you’ll be doing:\nSupport Property Underwriters throughout the policy lifecycle, including quoting, binding, registration (SAP), policy issuance, and post-bind processing.\nEnter, maintain, and validate submission data for new and renewal business, ensuring accuracy of expiring structures, endorsements, and related policy records.\nCreate, organize, and maintain underwriting files for new and renewal accounts, ensuring all required documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with company standards.\nCoordinate with external distribution partners and internal underwriters to obtain outstanding underwriting information and documentation, including workups, referrals, rating tools, quotes, binders, and related correspondence.\nMaintain account diaries and proactively track outstanding action items to ensure timely completion of underwriting and policy processing requirements.\nGenerate loss information and supporting account data for underwriting reviews and renewal preparation and prepare and maintain rating models to support pricing and analysis.\nProvide additional support to the Property Underwriting team including premium payment tracking, calendar management and client meetings.\nWhat you’ll bring:\nA minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, preferably within the P&C insurance industry\nStrong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook\nAbility to multi-task and prioritize assignments whilst maintaining a high degree of accuracy\nHighly organized with strong attention to detail and a methodical, process-driven approach\nAbility to deliver consistent, high-quality work while managing deadlines, shifting priorities and periods of increased operational intensity\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills\nDemonstrates curiosity, initiative, and proactive approach to developing new skills\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience\nSalary Range: Actual compensation for this role will depend on several factors including the cost of living associated with your work location, your qualifications, skills, competencies, and relevant experience.\nAt Sompo, we recognize that the talent, skills, and commitment of our employees drive our success.
