Position Description
Sonar is seeking a college student interested in gaining hands-on experience in direct and indirect tax matters from both a domestic and international perspective.
This is a part-time hourly internship based in our Geneva office, offering up to 20 hours per week during the academic year and up to 40 hours per week over the summer. It is a great opportunity to dive into tax operations, gain real-world experience, and learn within a rapidly expanding company.
What you will do
Conduct tax studies and research to help respond to various stakeholders tax questions.
Help with direct and indirect tax compliance work.
Participate in the preparation of tax computation, tax reconciliations and tax provision.
Assist with transfer pricing computations and reporting.
Actively contribute to the internal domestic and international tax watch.
Support the team on various tax projects.
Experience and qualifications
- Fluent in English, French is a plus
Master’s degree (or in progress) in tax law, accounting or finance.
- Strong interest in international taxation.
Proficiency in standard software tools such as Excel, and demonstrated curiosity in using AI tools in finance or workflow optimization
Open-minded, ambitious, enthusiastic, with a team oriented spirit and eager to learn.
