Join us and help redefine what’s possible as we shape the future of mobility.\nThe Opportunity:\nSonatus is looking for an experienced Staff System Test Engineer with deep expertise in AI testing to lead quality efforts across AI-driven embedded and cloud-connected systems. This role centers on validating AI model testing, deployment, monitoring, and test automation within innovative automotive and cloud environments. This is a hybrid role where you must come into our Sunnyvale HQ office 3 days a week. You will be reporting to our Senior Manager, Engineering (QA Automation - Vehicle).\nRole and Responsibility:\nCollaborate with diverse teams to define testing strategies for challenging and innovative projects.\nDevelop and execute detailed test plans using both automated and manual testing.\nTriage integration issues, replicate problems, and assist in identifying root causes and solutions.\nEscalate potential issues (Software, Hardware, Resources) to the Project Manager/Executive team.\nTrack testing activities, ensuring clear alignment across key stakeholders\nIdentify areas for improvement in test coverage and methodology, providing valuable suggestions.\nAct as the gatekeeper for each release, representing the voice of customers and providing constructive feedback.\nWork with the development team to orchestrate AI model deployment, testing, and scoring.\nQualifications:\nA bachelor’s degree (MS preferred) in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or other related fields is required.\nMinimum 5 years of experience in embedded software in data centers, networking, security, cloud services, or the automotive industry, and minimum 1+ year of experience with AI model development and testing.\nProficient in test methodologies with experience in system-level testing of physical devices.\nFamiliarity with the Linux command line and proficiency in shell scripting.\nFamiliarity with Quality Assurance for the Cloud Platform developed on private and public Cloud Infrastructure.\nStrong expertise in AI fundamentals, neural networks, and model deployment and ML flow.\nStrong experience in E2E testing of cloud-controlled / monitored embedded products.\nReview and challenge product requirements, design, and functional specifications.\nProficient in developing, reviewing, and modifying Python scripts to enhance test coverage.\nExperience with designing and implementing test tools for AI/ML automation and deployment\nFamiliarity with common test frameworks such as PyTest, Playwright, Behave, or similar.\nFamiliarity with test tools in the data analytics space is a plus.\nProficiency in JIRA, Jenkins, or similar tools.\nSunnyvale HQ Benefits & Perks Offered:\nHealth care plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)\nFlexible and Dependent Care Expense program\nRetirement plan (401k)\nLife Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)\nUnlimited paid time off per year, 14+ paid holidays\nHybrid office work arrangement\nComplimentary lunches, snacks, and beverages during on-site working days\nWellness benefit allowance\nPhone & Internet reimbursement\nComputer Accessory Allowance\nThe posted salary range is a general guideline and represents a good faith estimate of what Sonatus (\"Company\") could reasonably expect to pay for a base salary for this position.
