This role focuses on building reliable, secure, and scalable cloud-native environments while enabling developers through automation, self-service capabilities, and standardized solutions. The position requires strong technical expertise, a proactive mindset, and effective collaboration across engineering, operations, and product teams.\nBuild Sonepar’s Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS):\nBuild and operate a developer-centric platform that accelerates application delivery through automation, reusable components, and self-service capabilities.\nDeliver secure, scalable, and resilient PaaS services aligned with enterprise standards and governance.\nContribute to operational excellence by embedding observability, automation, and continuous improvement into platform operations.\nSupport multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments to ensure flexibility and availability of services.\nEnable DevSecOps practices by integrating security and compliance controls into platform services and pipelines.\nKey Responsibilities\n\nPlatform Engineering & Implementation\nImplement and maintain platform components following the architecture defined by the Platform Engineering Lead.\nEnsure platform services are performant, scalable, and highly available.\n\nCloud & Infrastructure Operations\nDeploy and manage cloud resources (Azure preferred), ensuring efficient and reliable operations.\nMonitor platform health, troubleshoot issues, and participate in incident response and resolution.\n\nAutomation & DevOps Practices\nDevelop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments and operations.\nPromote and implement best practices for automation, configuration management, and release management.\n\nObservability & Reliability\nImplement monitoring, logging, and tracing solutions to ensure visibility into platform performance.\nContribute to reliability engineering practices, including capacity planning and performance tuning.\n\nSecurity & Compliance\nApply security best practices including identity and access management, encryption, and vulnerability management.\nEnsure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.\n\nCollaboration & Support\nWork closely with application teams to onboard services and improve developer experience.\nCollaborate with architects, security teams, and other stakeholders to align platform capabilities with business needs.\nProvide technical support and guidance to internal teams using the platform.\nWhat Success Looks Like\nPlatform services are reliable, secure, and consistently meet performance expectations.\nDeployment processes are automated, efficient, and require minimal manual intervention.\nDevelopers can easily consume platform services through self-service capabilities.\nIncidents are resolved quickly with clear root cause analysis and continuous improvement actions.\nStrong alignment with Platform Engineering Lead strategy and enterprise architecture.\nThe Experience You Bring\n\nTechnical Expertise\nExperience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred), containerization (Docker), and Kubernetes.\nProficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines.\nSolid understanding of networking, cloud security, and microservices architectures.\n\nCollaboration & Communication\nAbility to work effectively within cross-functional teams in an agile environment.\nStrong communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\n\nExperience\n3-6 years in cloud engineering, platform engineering, or related roles.\nHands-on experience in building and operating cloud-based platforms or services.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nFamiliarity with DevSecOps practices and tools.\nExperience with observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor).\nExposure to multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.\nUnderstanding of cost optimization and FinOps practices.\nSoft Skills\nStrong problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.\nPassion for automation, reliability, and continuous improvement.\nAbility to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment.\nProactive, team-oriented, and eager to learn new technologies.Recruitment Process\nPre-screening Interview\nManagerial Interview with the Cloud Director\nTechnical Interview\nHR Interview\nReferral Call\n\nWork Mode & Location\n- Hybrid: 3 days in Paris (8ème) after the trial period\nBenefits that await you:\nThe role - Your daily activities will be interesting, stimulating and varied...
