Based at Surrey head office, this role focuses on customer experience, credit risk, and collections. Key responsibilities include setting credit limits, conducting credit evaluations, and overseeing collection activities for all account types. The role requires strong decision-making and relationship-building skills, working closely with customers, sales teams, and credit colleagues.\nMajor Responsibilities:\nPerform credit review and/or risk evaluations for potential new & existing accounts/customers while ensuring that the Credit Policy is followed.\nReview all construction lien and bond rights expiration dates while making recommendations for filing.\nDaily focus on contacting customers regarding past due invoices while working with sales team, as needed, on account holds, over credit limits, etc.\nCollecting and managing collection portfolios in Bectran & SX for A/R and dispute management.\nReconcile payments from the customer to assist the cash applications group or prove to a customer where a payment was made.\nDetermines when internal collections efforts are no longer effective and needs to be escalated.\nPrepares and responds timely to Regional Credit Manager on the status of A/R problems, trends, collections.\nReconciles accounts to ensure unapplied payments are applied properly.\nResearch and facilitates timely resolution of short/over payments and deductions.\nResponds to customer, sales, and branch inquiries with quick resolve.\nConducts one on one meetings with credit analysts monthly to review their portfolio and provide advice/support in their collection efforts.\nAssist Credit Manager with monthly target setting.\nPrepare documentation for bad debt write offs and submit to Credit Manager for approval.\nBe the credit liaison for all company wide projects.\nAssist in annual team reviews.\nOther duties as assigned.\nRequired Experience/Education:\nBachelor's degree in business administration, finance or accounting is an asset.\nHaving construction Credit experience is an asset.\nMust have CCP certified credit professional designation or working towards it.\nProficient in Microsoft Office and Power BI.\nMust demonstrate good time management skills for yourself and your reports.\nMust possess excellent customer service skills with ability and willingness to communicate using multiple methods.\nBenefits & Perks\nWe offer a competitive salary, plus a full set of benefits, including:\nFlexible benefits program allowing you to choose from options that best fit you and your dependents’ needs.
