This role serves as customer contact regarding such matters as pricing, scheduling and shipping. The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for performance in the areas of sales, gross margin, gross margin percentage, market share growth, and profitability of all product lines.\nYou will:\nSales:\nReceive calls from customers to explain the type of service or product offered.\n\nQuote prices and use sales skills to complete the purchase.\n\nOutbound calls to follow up on previous quotes\n\nSecure and place orders with others for filling and arrange delivery date.\n\nRecord names, addresses, purchases, and reactions of prospects solicited.\n\nWork with the outside sales and manager to secure customer satisfaction on all accounts.\n\nWorks with shipping dept to arrange special delivery circumstances\n\nPrepare and work reports on sales activities and expediting.\n\nSource product for “special” and “direct” non-stock customer orders\n\nAssemble all information necessary for a customer quotation\n\nPrepare customer quotations and analyze quotation results\n\nProvide appropriate report information to sales management and outside sales\n\nFollow up after sending quotes\n\nCustomer Service:\nAdjusts complaints concerning billing or service rendered, referring complaints of service failures to designated departments for investigation.\n\nEnsure customer returns are handled in accordance with company policy\n\nWhat You’ll Bring\nEducation and/or Experience:\nTwo-year certificate/degree from college or technical school or\n\nSix months to two years related experience and/or training or\n\nEquivalent combination of education and experience\n\nRequirements:\nRead and interpret documents such as training instructions, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.\n\nWrite routine reports and correspondence.\n\nSpeak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.\n\nInterface in a customer responsive manner over the telephone and in person.\n\nHandle difficult customer situations with diplomacy.\n\nAbility to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.\n\nCalculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.\n\nApply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
