Working directly with customers, branch teams, Operations, Sales, Supply Chain, and the Material Solutions Manager, this role helps maintain inventory accuracy, material availability, efficient replenishment, and responsive service.\nThe coordinator supports Vendor Managed Inventory, consignment, onsite inventory, storeroom operations, site services, material staging, replenishment, jobsite logistics, and digital inventory visibility. Success requires strong customer service, attention to detail, dependable follow-through, and the ability to identify and resolve operational issues.\nCustomer Service & Relationship Support\nServe as a primary day-to-day contact for assigned customer locations and material programs.\nBuild productive relationships with customer personnel, project teams, maintenance teams, purchasing contacts, and Crawford partners.\nRespond to inventory questions, service requests, material needs, and operational issues with urgency and professionalism.\nIdentify opportunities to improve material availability, productivity, visibility, and overall customer experience.\nInventory Management & Replenishment\nMaintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting, auditing, replenishment, transaction discipline, and discrepancy resolution.\nMonitor inventory levels and complete replenishment activities based on customer demand and established service requirements.\nIdentify stockouts, excess inventory, slow-moving items, and inaccurate records, then coordinate corrective action.\nSupport min/max reviews, item rationalization, inventory optimization, and continuous improvement activities.\nStoreroom, Onsite & Site Services Operations\nSupport onsite inventory, storeroom, consignment, and other material management programs.\nReceive, inspect, stock, label, organize, issue, stage, kit, and process returns in accordance with established procedures.\nMaintain clean, safe, organized, and efficient customer and Crawford-managed inventory areas.\nCoordinate material deliveries, job site requests, staging activities, and customer service requirements.\nTechnology, Reporting & Program Discipline\nUse inventory systems, handheld scanners, mobile devices, customer portals, dashboards, and reporting tools accurately and consistently.\nMaintain complete inventory records, replenishment of data, service documentation, and program files.\nSupport KPI reporting and customer scorecards for inventory accuracy, fill rate, stockouts, productivity, and service performance.\nEscalate recurring issues, risks, and improvement opportunities to the Material Solutions Manager and appropriate partners.\nSafety, Collaboration & Continuous Improvement\nFollow Crawford and customer safety requirements, standard operating procedures, and personal protective equipment expectations.\nPartner with Branch Operations, Customer Service, Sales, Supply Chain, and Digital Solutions to resolve issues and improve execution.\nParticipate in site reviews, training, audits, program launches, and process improvement activities.\nDemonstrate accountability, adaptability, respect, and dependable follow-through in customer and team interactions.\n\nQualifications\n\nRequired\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nTwo or more years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, customer service, material handling, distribution, construction support, manufacturing, or related field.\nStrong customer service, communication, organization, and time-management skills.\nAbility to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and respond effectively in a field-based environment.\nWorking knowledge of inventory practices, material handling, receiving, stocking, and replenishment.\nBasic proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn ERP, inventory, scanning, reporting, and customer technology platforms.\nValid driver license and ability to meet applicable company travel requirements.\nPreferred\nAssociate or bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, logistics, operations, or related field.\nExperience supporting Vendor Managed Inventory, consignment, storeroom, onsite inventory, kitting, or replenishment programs.\nExperience in electrical distribution, industrial supply, manufacturing, MRO, construction, or project-based environments.\nExperience with ERP systems, handheld scanners, inventory applications, reporting tools, or customer portals.\nLean, continuous improvement, safety, or inventory management training.\n\nEnvironment\n\nThis position is field-based, with work performed at customer locations, job sites, warehouses, and other assigned locations. Regular local travel between sites is required, with occasional overnight travel. The role involves a combination of driving, walking, standing, and hands-on material handling, with work conducted in both indoor and outdoor environments depending on location.
