This role bridges finance, IT, and operations teams to optimize our SAP investment, build internal capability, and reduce dependency on external consultants. The position is critical to supporting our financial close processes, managing system security and workflows, and driving continuous improvement of our ERP platform.\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nThis position has no direct reports but will coordinate work with external SAP consulting partners and provide guidance to end users across the organization.\nTravel\nMinimal travel required. Occasional travel to company offices or SAP training events (less than 10% annually).\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nFinance & Accounting Focus (Primary)\nServe as functional expert for SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Finance modules, including Financial Accounting (FI), Controlling (CO), Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) and Asset Accounting (AA)\nSupport month-end close processes, financial reporting requirements and audit activities\nSupport subscription billing and recurring revenue management business processes\nPartner with CFO, Controller, and Accounting Team on system optimization, enhancements and process improvements\nIT & System Administration\nManage user access, roles and permissions using SAP Identity and Access Management (IAM) principles\nDesign and maintain role-based security following segregation of duties best practices\nConfigure and maintain workflows, approval processes and business process automation\nTroubleshoot system issues and coordinate resolution with external consultants as needed\nSupport quarterly system updates, testing cycles and deployment of new functionality\nMaintain comprehensive system documentation, configuration guides and standard operating procedures\nMonitor system performance, data integrity and compliance with internal controls\nCross-Functional Support\nProvide technical support for Supply Chain processes and modules, including Materials Management (MM), material planning and project-based inventory activities\nProvide technical support for Plant PMO activities, including contractor Service Entry Sheets, linking Plant PMO projects and schedules to procurement demand and improving project-based material planning and costing\nLead API and integration efforts connecting SAP with other internal systems\nBridge communication between business users, finance team and technical resources\nTranslate business requirements into system configurations and process designs\nLead business adoption efforts, including change management, stakeholder communication, user training and process standardization\nManage consulting engagements, project budgets, statements of work, deliverables, vendor performance, relationships and project scope with external SAP consulting partners\nStrategic & Project Management\nLead SAP enhancement projects from requirements gathering through implementation and post-go-live support\nDevelop and maintain a roadmap for system improvements, new functionality, and process optimization\nFacilitate quarterly release updates and drive adoption of new SAP features\nDevelop and support operational and financial reporting solutions, including SAP embedded analytics, CDS views, reporting tools and KPI dashboards\nConduct regular business process reviews and identify continuous improvement opportunities\nManage competing priorities effectively and communicate status to stakeholders at all levels\n\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field required\nAdvanced degree (MBA, MAcc, MS in Information Systems) a plus\n5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA (Public Cloud experience strongly preferred, including fit-to-standard principles, configuration through SSCUIs, quarterly release management and regression testing, clean-core extensibility)\nSAP certification in S/4HANA Finance or related modules highly preferred\nDeep expertise in SAP Finance modules: Financial Accounting (FI), Controlling (CO), Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) and Asset Accounting (AA)\nSupply Chain experience including Materials Management (MM), Warehouse Management and Inventory Management modules\nConstruction industry experience with Project Systems (PS) and project-based costing\nStrong Identity and Access Management (IAM) experience including user administration, role design, authorization management and segregation of duties concepts\nProven workflow configuration experience: customizing approval processes, business rules and automation\nSAP Fiori administration and user experience optimization\nFamiliarity with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and extensibility\nUnderstanding of integration points between finance and other SAP modules; familiar with Public Cloud constraints and options\nExperience with SAP Preferred Success tools (e.g., Cloud ALM and Test Automation)\nStrong accounting and finance background with understanding of financial processes and accounting principles, including revenue recognition and subscription billing models\nKnowledge of financial reporting, consolidation and analytics\nUnderstanding of internal controls\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\nCommunication skills -- ability to write clear system documentation, training materials, and business correspondence;
