Working within an Agile development environment, you will collaborate closely with Development, Product Management, and DevOps teams to ensure the delivery of reliable, scalable, and secure solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge networking and cybersecurity products while leveraging modern automation frameworks, cloud technologies, and AI-assisted engineering tools.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases.\nBuild and enhance automation frameworks for UI, API, system, and end-to-end testing.\nPerform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing to ensure product quality.\nDevelop scalable test automation solutions and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.\nValidate REST APIs and backend services through automated and manual testing.\nAnalyze test results, investigate issues, perform root-cause analysis, and work closely with developers to resolve defects.\nConfigure, maintain, and troubleshoot test environments across Windows, Linux, virtualized, and cloud platforms.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to improve testing processes, quality standards, and release readiness.\nLeverage AI-assisted development and testing tools to improve automation productivity and test coverage.\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality, efficiency, and customer experience.\nRequired Qualifications\nSoftware Testing Expertise \nStrong understanding of software testing methodologies, including test planning, strategy development, test case design, execution, defect management, and regression testing.\nAbility to identify appropriate testing approaches based on business requirements and risk assessment.\nTest Automation Expertise \nHands-on experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks using Python and technologies such as Selenium, Playwright, or equivalent tools.\nStrong programming and scripting skills with the ability to develop scalable, maintainable, and reusable automation solutions.\nExperience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.\nAPI Testing & Automation\nExperience testing and automating REST APIs.\nStrong understanding of HTTP methods, status codes, authentication mechanisms, request/response validation, and error handling.\nExperience with tools such as Postman, Python Requests, REST Assured, or similar technologies.\nTest Documentation & Defect Management\nAbility to create and maintain test plans, test cases, execution reports, automation reports, and defect documentation.\nStrong understanding of defect lifecycle management and root-cause analysis.\nNetworking & Network Security \nStrong understanding of networking and network security fundamentals.\nExperience with technologies and protocols including TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, DHCP, Routing, Firewalls, NAT, VPN, and related security concepts.\nPrior experience testing networking or cybersecurity products is highly preferred.\nTest Environment Management\nExperience configuring and troubleshooting test environments.\nHands-on experience with Linux and Windows platforms, virtual machines, networking configurations, and environment management.\nAbility to independently diagnose and resolve environment-related issues impacting testing activities.\nPreferred Qualifications\nCloud & Container Technologies\nWorking knowledge of AWS and cloud-based application environments.\nExposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments.\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nAbility to work effectively with Engineering, Product Management, QA, and DevOps teams.\nExperience driving quality initiatives, process improvements, and engineering best practices.\nStrong focus on continuous improvement and testing efficiency.\nTechnical Collaboration\nAbility to understand product architecture, technical designs, and implementation details.\nExperience translating technical requirements into effective test coverage and automation strategies.\nCommunication & Teamwork\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to communicate quality status, risks, defects, and technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nStrong collaboration, mentoring, and teamwork skills.\nAI-Assisted Software Engineering\nExperience with AI-powered development and testing tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar solutions.\nAbility to utilize AI tools for test case creation, automation development, debugging, code analysis, and productivity enhancement.\nUnderstanding of the importance of validating and reviewing AI-generated code and test scenarios before implementation.\nExperience\n5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Test Automation.\nExperience testing networking, cybersecurity, or enterprise software products is highly desirable.\nEducation\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.\nSonicWall is an equal opportunity employer. \nWe are committed to creating a diverse environment and are an equal opportunity employer.
