They can also be a source of stress for future parents.\nResulting from 5 years of collaboration between world-renowned experts from Necker Hospital and Ecole Polytechnique, Sonio uses artificial intelligence to improve prenatal screening and diagnosis. Based on patented algorithms and a proprietary expert database, Sonio aims to become the reference tool to help practitioners improve screening, reduce diagnostic errors, and optimize pregnant women’s medical path.\nSonio's mission is to improve women's and children's health by promoting access and quality of care through technological innovation, medical expertise, and collective intelligence.\nAbout the role\nWe are currently building our next generation of products that provide real-time assistance to practitioners during fetal ultrasound examinations. We build systems that interface with ultrasound machines (multi-platform edge software), stream imaging data to our cloud (real-time web tech), interpret data and images using AI/ML, and push the results back to the practitioner’s interface (reactive web apps) - all in near real-time.\nYou will work especially on how Sonio connects with the outside world: integration with healthcare information systems (EHR) and interconnection with ultrasound machines.\nSome of the key upcoming projects you will work on:\nScaling our data ingestion systems,\n\nRefactoring how we ingest DICOM data into the system.\n\nThis is a perfect role for a software engineer who really enjoys systems and building reliable systems when the volume increases a lot in a short amount of time.\nAbout the profile\nSonio is a mission-driven company, so interest in our mission is critical. Other requirements are:\n8-10 years of software engineering experience, with strong system design skills.\n\nExperience with a data ingestion system fed by machines (industrial, IoT, or similar distributed machines), and an appetite for infrastructure and data ingestion problems.\n\nExposure to at least one of the following programming languages: Python/Ruby/Go/Javascript/Rust/Elixir/Java/C/C++ with the ability and desire to pick up others if needed.\n\nCustomer-oriented and user-centric, comfortable talking with clients and non-technical people and going on-site in the US from time to time.\n\nFluent in English; English is the working language.\n\nStart-up or scale-up experience is a big plus.\n\nLocation: Paris\nSalary: 75-85k + 10%\nWe move fast and aspire to be transparent over the process - our objective is that the process from the first chat to an offer is no longer than a month.
