We're extremely proud of our portfolio of brands, our achievements in sustainability and industrialization and the groundbreaking work accomplished by our people.\nWhat you’ll be doing:\nComplies with established job safety practices, policies and procedures as specified in plant and corporate directives for the safe performance of the work assignment.\nResponsible for maintaining a safe and secure work environment. This includes correcting unsafe acts/conditions, participating in monthly safety meetings, performing monthly safety inspections, and investigating accidents, as required.\nSupports and follows the guidelines of the food safety system.\nFollows company policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), practices and Sonoco’s Global Code of Conduct. \nInstalls, modifies, and repairs electrical components, wiring, controls, and systems on production, utility, and facility equipment, including mixers, burners, compressors, HVAC systems, cleaning equipment, presses, and plant lighting.\nTroubleshoots and diagnoses electrical faults using test equipment and documentation.\nPerforms preventative and corrective maintenance on assigned electrical systems and equipment.\nIdentifies equipment inefficiencies and potential electrical issues and works with supervision and affected departments to implement corrective actions.\nPrograms, modifies, and troubleshoots PLC-controlled equipment to support reliable operation.\nParticipates in shutdown/turnaround work planning and execution, as well as equipment start up and functional testing.\nLeads installation, modification, and continuous improvement of plant equipment or electrical production procedures.\nReviews and manages assigned work orders, troubleshooting obstacles, and communicating status, risks, and resource requirements to supervision.\nProvides technical support during shutdowns, startups, and equipment testing.\nTrain and coach Level I electricians on safe work practices and fundamental tasks.\nOther duties as assigned.\nWe’d love to hear from you if:\nExpert knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting, HMI, and industrial electrical networking.·\nAdvanced knowledge of industrial electrical systems, complex motor controls, VFD networks, MCCs, power distribution equipment, control components, and diagnostic tools.· \nAbility to read and interpret complex drawings, including detailed control schematics.· \nAdvanced knowledge of hazardous material handling, grounding/bonding principles, working in confined spaces, arc flash and shock hazard awareness, LOTO, and basic knowledge of national electrical code (NEC).· \nThorough understanding of the operating principles of all assigned equipment, i.e., electrical test equipment, hand tools, etc. and the ability to use logic to troubleshoot equipment.· \nEffective communicationand collaboration abilities.\nPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions:Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds throughout a shift.\nAbility to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks\nManual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.\nRequired to work assigned schedule or 12-hour shifts. \nIncumbent must be able to work overtime on a regular basis.\nAbility to work safely in a warehouse and manufacturing environment, including exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, production equipment, vehicle traffic, and other industrial working conditions.\nAbility to wear appropriate safety glasses, hearing protection, clothing, and footwear in appropriate areas and follow safety practices.\n\n At
