The role is part of the Manufacturing team onsite.\nTo understand customer quality requirements and manufacturing specifications and ensures that the product remains within critical control parameters.\nPrincipal Accountabilities\nResponsible for\nWork area start of shift safety checks\nChecking and enforcing crew are wearing correct PPE\nConducting dynamic risk assessments\nManual and auto loading of tinplate onto line\nSafe banding of material\nOnce trained safe use of pallet trucks and power pallets trucks\nLOTO (Lock out tag out) on required tasks\nAdjusting line speeds and making line adjustments (chutes, belts, feeders, somme).\nProblem identification and solving\nOnce trained set up of auto packer, camera systems and robot set up.\nOnce trained sign off of PUWER cards\nBasic parts replacement (notch, suckers)\nLine setting, maintenance and adjustments. \nSupporting tool changes\nBasic tool maintenance\nTraining other Line Leaders in areas of your expertise.\nFLT cover (if trained)\nManagement of line crew - including agency workers\nReduction in line spoilage\nConducting MES checks (inc component measurement)\nBarcoding and label printing\nUnderstanding works order packs\nPlan and control all shift quality and hygiene activities to ensure compliance with ISO BRC & AIB standards as well as all Sonoco Quality requirements.\nEnsure quality control and hygiene incidents are handled in accordance with defined procedures, instructions, and standards.\nH&S & Environment\nComply with EHS policy and statutory requirements at all times.\nEnsure that all activities are carried out in accordance with all applicable safety procedures.\nPractice safe working techniques in all that you do.\nSupport and engage the business with any safety related initiatives and programs.\nSupport the business with carrying out safety observations and discussions with others, finding any fixes or improvements which can be proposed to the site. \nAdhere to high levels of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and ensure 5S is carried out at all times.\nKnowledge & Experience\nMinimum Job Requirements\nDemonstrate a good level of mechanical ability\nMethodological approach (logical thinking)\nSafety mindset\nOrganised and self-motivated\nPersonal Characteristics\nSelf-motivated with the ability to work on your own or within a team.\nPositive “can do” attitude.\nAbility to work efficiently and at pace whilst ensuring you work safely under pressure.\nOrganised and self motivated\nProactive Team player who is self-motivated to continuously improve and learn in the workplace.\nResilient, strong character who is willing to challenge in a positive professional manner.\nCustomer focussed\nClear and respectful behaviour to all\nThis opportunity is based on a rotating 6am -
