Our teams work together to solve challenges, drive progress, and shape the future of packaging.\nPosition Details:\nThe candidate needs to be enrolled at university\nPosition: Trainee Treasury Analyst\nLocation: Amsterdam, Netherlands\nDepartment: Treasury EMEA/APAC\nDuration: 6-month internship\nStart Date: As soon as possible\nReporting to: Treasury Manager and Treasury Director (Paris)\nWe are seeking a motivated Treasury Analyst Trainee to join our EMEA/APAC Treasury team. The successful candidate will support the Treasury Analysts and gain hands-on experience across all key treasury activities, including cash management, treasury operations, banking relationships, compliance, and reporting.\nKey Responsibilities\n1. Cash & Liquidity Management\nUpdate, adjust, and forecast daily cash positions using multiple banking platforms.\nUpload and reconcile daily bank statements.\nInvestigate and resolve cash flow discrepancies with local business units and banking partners.\nProcess bank transfer requests and ensure compliance with payment security procedures.\nCreate and maintain secure payment templates.\nVerify Standard Settlement Instructions (SSIs).\nSupport the monitoring and optimization of cash pooling structures.\n2. Treasury Market Operations & Back Office\nMonitor Foreign Exchange (FX), Interest Rate (IR), and Commodities transactions within the Treasury Management System.\nPrepare dealing tickets for FX and commodity transactions.\nProcess credit advices and monitor premium fixings.\nFollow up on maturing FX transactions and coordinate with internal stakeholders regarding settlement, rollover, or maturity decisions.\nEnsure trade data accuracy and completeness in treasury systems.\n3. Treasury Reporting, Netting & Controls\nParticipate in the monthly intercompany netting process.\nAnalyze netting data and manage related approval workflows.\nPrepare monthly treasury activity reports covering FX, commodities, and other treasury activities.\nPerform SOX controls and ensure treasury documentation is complete and properly approved.\nMonitor and report monthly interest payments.\n4. Corporate Banking, Compliance & Treasury Projects\nSupport bank account management activities, including account openings and closures.\nMaintain treasury banking databases and account inventories.\nAssist with KYC documentation and compliance reviews.\nCoordinate with banks and internal stakeholders to obtain required treasury documentation.\nSupport treasury projects, including banking RFPs and credit facility requests.\nAssist business units with treasury-related requests and banking matters.\nWho Are We Looking For?\nYou are an enthusiastic, proactive student looking to gain practical experience within an international treasury environment.\nRequirements\nCurrently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Finance or a related field.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal abilities.\nResults-oriented with a proactive mindset.\nStrong Microsoft Excel skills.\nInterest in corporate treasury, banking, and financial markets.\nExperience with Treasury Management Systems (TMS), particularly Kyriba, is a plus.\nFluent in English;
