This hands-on position supports the daily preparation of the property, routine facility and grounds maintenance, event setup, and venue turnover between events.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nPrepare the road course, paddock and kart track for daily use.\nPerform repairs to the racing surface, tire packs and barriers.\nEnsure the track is clean and safe for the day’s scheduled activities.\nReconfigure the road course for upcoming events and activities.\nMove furniture, paddock K-wall, and install signage in preparation for events.\nPerform overnight turnovers as needed to prepare for clients.\nComplete work orders across venue buildings including but not limited to lighting, minor sheetrock, painting, door hardware and ceiling tile repairs.\nProactively inspect facilities and identify maintenance or repair needs before they impact operations.\nMaintain the raceway grounds through mowing, landscaping, seat cleaning, and sign installation/removal.\nPerform other duties as assigned based on operational needs.\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nPrior experience in facilities maintenance, construction (including, but not limited to plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, etc.), landscaping, or a related field preferred.\nValid driver's license required.\nExperience operating forklifts, tractors, lifts, or other heavy equipment preferred; training will be provided as needed.\nBasic mechanical aptitude and ability to safely use hand and power tools.\nAbility to work independently and identify maintenance needs with limited supervision.\nAbility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime based on event and operational needs.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nAbility to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 80 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation, and with appropriate assistance or equipment when necessary.\nAbility to stand and walk for extended periods, including over uneven terrain and throughout a large outdoor facility.\nAbility to frequently bend, kneel, crouch, reach, climb, push, and pull while completing maintenance tasks.\nAbility to safely climb and work from ladders or elevated areas as required.\nAbility to safely operate common hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.\nSCHEDULE:\nThis is a full-time non-exempt role. This position generally works a 4-days-on, 3-days-off schedule, with scheduled days varying based on operational needs. Typical hours are 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional workdays or extended hours may be required based on event schedules and business needs. Must be available to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.\nTRAVEL:\nAt times this role may be requested to travel to and perform work at other Speedway Motorsports locations and tracks.\nWORKING CONDITIONS:\nThis position works in a combination of indoor and outdoor environments and may require extended periods of work outdoors in hot, cold, or inclement weather conditions. Employees regularly work with hand tools, power tools, maintenance equipment, and machinery and may work in areas where vehicles, heavy equipment, or other moving machinery are operating. The position may involve exposure to noise, dust, dirt, grease, fumes, chemicals, uneven or slippery surfaces, and other conditions commonly associated with facilities and maintenance work.
