It’s about impact, not location.\nA Sonos Americas Trainer is responsible for bringing educational moments to life for partners across both the Professional and Retail channels. This role will flex between audiences and business needs, delivering technical, product, and sales education to professional installers, retail employees, business owners, and other Sonos partners. Members of the Sonos Global Training & Education Team embody all of Sonos’ behaviors, Respect, Collaboration, Transparency, and Ownership.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nPresent engaging educational content to both small and large audiences through in-person events, live and prerecorded webinars, on-camera training, partner meetings, and trade shows.\nSpeak the language of the audiences we support, including professional AV installers, retail sales employees, designers, business owners, and sales leaders.\nAdapt technical depth, messaging, and delivery style based on the audience, channel, and desired business outcome.\nWork closely with both the Americas Professional and Retail Sales teams to use education as a way to drive confidence, advocacy, and sales.\nIdentify learning opportunities that can improve the Professional installation experience and strengthen the Retail customer experience.\nPartner with the content team by sharing field feedback, audience needs, common questions, and opportunities for future training.\nDevelop and maintain expertise in Sonos hardware, software, networking, home theater, installation practices, product demonstrations, and customer use cases.\nIndependently prepare for and deliver assigned training programs while managing communication, timelines, and post-event follow-up.\nCommunicate with partners outside of formal training events to answer questions and clarify key topics.\nStay current on consumer electronics, professional AV, retail trends, and technologies that complement or compete with Sonos.\nContinually practice presentation and facilitation skills to maintain training performance at a high level.\nCollaborate with teammates and cross-functional partners to make Sonos training some of the most enjoyable and valuable educational experiences in the industry.\nWhat You’ll Need:\nBasic Qualifications\nAt least 3-5 years of experience in the professional AV, consumer electronics retail, sales, installation, technical education, or a related field.\nDemonstrated experience, and success with enthusiastic public speaking and on-camera presentations to both small and large audiences.\nExperience explaining technical and product information clearly while adapting to different audience needs.\nThe ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and take ownership of assigned training programs.\nLanguage fluency in English.\nThe ability to travel throughout North America for partner trainings and events, with occasional international travel based on business needs.\nPreferred Qualifications\n1-3 years of experience in the technical education field\nExperience supporting Professional AV, consumer electronics Retail, or both, with the ability to translate knowledge between technical and sales-focused audiences.\nProficiency in writing in a clear and conversational style\nHumility to identify opportunities in oneself and the team\nA passion for consumer and professional electronics\nExperience collaborating with teammates and cross-functional teams\nProficient in Microsoft Powerpoint and Google Slides\nProficiency in Adobe Suite, specifically Adobe Premiere \nA curiosity to learn new skills and a dedication to master those skills.\nHighly organized and able to deliver multiple projects at the same time.\nAdditional language fluency in Spanish or French\nA love of the music and home theater experience\nResearch shows that candidates from underrepresented backgrounds often don't apply for roles if they don't meet all the criteria. At Sonos we take the time to hire right and appreciate your patience.\nThe base pay range for this role based off geographic location is:\n$82,000 and $103,000The specific pay offered will depend on the candidate’s geographic location, as well as qualifications and experience. We apply geographic pay differentials based on the cost of labor in the market. Employees in high-cost locations may be compensated at the upper end of the range, while those in medium or low cost markets may be compensated at the lower end of the range.
