You will collaborate closely with experts in embedded electronics, acoustics, mechanical engineering, system software, radio engineering, and JDM to bring our vision to life. Qualified applicants must live within commuting distance of our Shanghai office and should expect to be in office a minimum of 4 days per week.\nWhat You’ll Do\nProvide technical guidance on power and analog designs within the Electrical System team\n\nEnhance the excellence of Sonos products through research and prototyping of new technologies\n\nAdvance the simulation and test methodology of power and analog design\n\nDevelop and design analog circuit and power converter/amplifier/supply for audio products\n\nDesign custom magnetics for power amplifiers and power supplies\n\nDevelop engineering validation plans to ensure high quality of your design\n\nDocument your design, validation plans, and test results\n\nEnsure to meet all regulatory requirements including EMC, energy efficiency, and safety\n\nWork cooperatively across disciplines. Collaborate with JDM partners. Lead and mentor Jr electrical engineers and JDM electrical engineers in power and analog design\n\nWhat You’ll Need\nBasic Qualifications\nAdvanced degree in Electrical Engineering with 6+ years of related industry experience, or BS degree in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years direct experience also considered\n\nProficient in English in verbal and written communication\n\nHands-on experience with complete ownership of analog and power electronics design in high volume products\n\nThorough understanding of efficient power designs including detailed analysis of circuit and magnetics specification\n\nDesign experience in audio amplifiers or motor driver is highly preferred\n\nKnowledge of safety and compliance standards for consumer electronic devices\n\nStrong analytical skills, trouble-shooting skills, and system level knowledge\n\nProficiency in creating and editing schematic and layout files\n\nProven leadership skills including schedule management and mentoring/motivating/leading project team members\n\nHaving worked across disciplines with mechanical, radio, acoustics, compliance, system SW, and other engineering teams including ID, UX, packaging, manufacturing, sourcing et al\n\nTechnically inquisitive - must be able to take on new technical challenges and learn new technical skills on-the-fly and apply the knowledge to solve the issue at hand\n\nAbility to develop and execute design validation testing plans\n\nWell-developed reporting and communication skills, including the ability to explain and summarize complicated issues\n\nA passion for learning and a drive to achieve results. If you don’t have 100% of the skills listed, we strongly encourage you to apply if interested.\nWorking experience with EEs, MEs, layout engineers, compliance, and program management from JDM partners\n\nExperience in embedded circuit design (CPU, Memory, Ethernet, USB, HDMI, Digital audio, etc.)\n\nExperience using audio test equipment (AP, Klippel, Clio, SoundCheck, etc.) and EMC test equipment (network analyzers, spectrum analyzers)\n\nKnowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements and testing procedures\n\nKnowledge and experience in USB-PD or in Power over Ethernet.\n\nExperience in wireless communications, audio and acoustic products.\n\nYour profile will be reviewed and you'll hear from us once we have an update.
