Qualified applicants must live within commuting distance of our New York office and should expect to be in office 5 days per week.\n\nAbout the Role:\nThe Studio Coordinator is part of the global Workplace team, overseeing the day-to-day operations of Sonos’ new creative studio and performance space in SoHo - a dynamic environment designed to host artists for live performances, listening sessions, film screenings, and other creative experiences.\nThis hands-on role manages studio and workplace operations, employee and guest experience, and space-related projects aligned with Sonos’ broader global real estate strategy. As the primary Workplace contact for local teams, you’ll help create a welcoming, productive, and well-run environment for employees, artists, and guests.\nThe ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and people-focused, with a warm, proactive, and adaptable approach. You’re comfortable rolling up your sleeves, managing multiple priorities, and seeing projects through from start to finish while balancing the needs of the space, the business, and the people who use it.\nLocation & Schedule: This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position 5 days per week onsite in our New York City studio. There is no relocation or housing assistance for this position.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nSpace & Operations\nOversee day-to-day operations of both floors including the creative team workspace, conference room, kitchenette, and performance space\nManage vendor relationships, facilities maintenance, and supply inventory\nManage administrative and financial processes, including mail sorting and distribution, voicemails, employee support tickets, invoices, purchase requisitions, and expense reports\nServe as the on-site safety lead, supporting emergency preparedness and response, including building evacuations and coordination with building management and first responders\nManage shipping and receiving operations for domestic and international deliveries\nEnsure the space always reflects the Sonos brand at the highest level\nTeam Support\nSupport the on-site Sonos team with workspace needs, conference room scheduling, meal ordering, and day-to-day office operations\nFoster a studio culture that feels both productive and inspired\nTechnical Oversight\nAssist in maintaining and troubleshooting all Sonos audio equipment throughout the space\nPartner with remote IT/AV support to address issues with office conference rooms, meeting spaces, and employee equipment\nEnsure sound systems are performance-ready at all times\nArtist & Talent Relations\nHelp coordinate incoming artist performances and residencies - hospitality, technical setup, and post-visit follow-up\nAssist the Sonos Radio Principle Curation Manager and the Global Events and Operation Manager as a point of contact for visiting talent and their teams\nAssist in managing communications with artist managers, labels, and booking agents\nInfluencer & Brand Partnerships\nManage influencer visit logistics including product demos, content creation needs, and brand experience flow\nAssist the creative production team with set-up for shoots or activations as needed\nWhat You’ll Need:\nEducation\nBachelor's degree or equivalent work experience relevant to the role\nExperience\n2+ years experience in an office management, event production, or studio operations role\nExperience working within a creative team - agency, in-house brand studio, design firm, photo/video production\nProject management or production coordination background \nCore skills\nProject management - tracking timelines, deliverables, budgets, and multiple concurrent projects\nOrganization & multitasking - juggling schedules, resources, and competing priorities across a creative team\nCommunication - liaising between creatives, clients/stakeholders, vendors, and leadership\nVisitor/vendor coordination - booking influencers, press, photographers, stylists, printers, contractors, etc.\nSoftware proficiency - Google Creative Suite, Google Sheets, Google Calendar and Google Docs especially, Adobe Creative tools, Figma \nStudio-specific knowledge\nUnderstanding of creative workflows (design, photo/video production, content creation)\nFamiliarity with production logistics - studio space booking, equipment/gear management, shoot scheduling\nSoft skills\nProblem-solving under tight deadlines\nCalm, adaptable demeanor - studio environments are fast-paced and can shift last-minute\nStrong interpersonal skills - often the connective tissue between creative directors, clients, and support staff\nDiscretion/professionalism, especially in studios working with high-profile clients or talent\nComfort with a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment typical of NYC's creative/agency/fashion/media industries\nMay require flexibility for early morning or evening shoot schedules\nNetworking/vendor relationships within the NYC creative scene can be a plus (studio rental spaces, freelance talent pools, printers, etc.)\nResearch shows that candidates from underrepresented backgrounds often don't apply for roles if they don't meet all the criteria. Employees in high-cost locations may be compensated at the upper end of the range, while those in medium or low cost markets may be compensated at the lower end of the range.
