In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for some of the core software and firmware that will enable new and innovative solutions for the home and businesses. In the process, you will work with some of the brightest minds across multiple disciplines of software, hardware, radio, acoustics, WiFi, and Bluetooth technologies. This is an opportunity to join a high-performing team tasked with delivering these innovative, new products to market.\nWhat You’ll Do\nWrite clear, reliable, maintainable code\n\nDecompose problems into logical components that can be cleanly implemented and efficiently executed in software\n\nDesign new features and maximize the potential of existing technologies\n\nModify existing software to adapt it to new hardware, correct errors, upgrade interfaces and improve performance\n\nDebug complex low-level problems that may span interfaces between hardware and software\n\nContribute to the suite of developer unit tests using GTEST\n\nCollaborate with software engineers, PM, QA and UX to design and deliver unique, innovative new features that delight our customers\n\nDrive your work forward and exercise your strong technical aptitude to influence positive change and innovation\n\nParticipate in team process, using Agile methodologies to adapt and continuously improve\n\nBe able to debug issues on the factory/vendor/3rd party lab\n\nBasic Qualifications:\nEmbedded system programming in C/C++\n\nKnowledge of embedded Linux system architecture and development environments\n\nKnowledge of common communication interfaces at a hardware integration level (SPI, I2C, I2S, UART, USB, Bluetooth, etc)\n\nDemonstrable experience in developing performance-critical SW in resource-constrained environments\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with experience articulating technical concepts in cross-functional teams\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nBS or MS in EE, CS, Mathematics, or related discipline, 4+ years of relevant experience\n\nTechnically inquisitive - must be able to take on new technical challenges and learn new technical skills on-the-fly and apply the knowledge to solve the issue at hand.\n\nKnowledge of WiFi interfaces at a hardware integration level\n\nExperience with embedded Linux and real-time operating systems\n\nHands-on testing and debugging of embedded systems in a laboratory environment\n\nSolid track record of shipping reliable, extensible and maintainable software.\n\nIn-depth understanding of modern embedded SW development processes including design, implementation, unit testing, continuous integration, version control etc.\n\nLinux Kernel programming and configuration\n\nU-Boot programming and configuration\n\nExperience managing software developers or contractors\n\nAbility to work with people with different cultures and backgrounds in different locations and time zones\n\nYour profile will be reviewed and you'll hear from us once we have an update.
