Working closely with senior leaders and professionals across Europe, Japan, and the US, you will help define the long-term growth strategy for Sony Semiconductor Solutions while identifying and implementing inorganic growth opportunities across the global deep-tech ecosystem.\nYou will evaluate emerging technologies, build investment theses, develop strategic recommendations, and drive acquisitions, investments, and partnerships that support Sony's future ambitions in sensing, edge AI, photonics, automotive technologies, and adjacent markets.\nYou will:\nShape and participate in the long-term growth strategy for Sony Semiconductor Solutions across imaging, sensing, edge AI, photonics, automotive and adjacent technology markets.\nIdentify, evaluate and drive acquisition, investment and strategic partnership opportunities that support business growth and technology leadership.\nDevelop strategic recommendations through market analysis, competitive intelligence and technology trend assessment.\nBuild and maintain relationships with founders, venture capital firms, private equity investors, investment banks and industry leaders.\nLead financial modelling, valuation and business case development to support investment and strategic decisions.\nHandle commercial and financial due diligence activities in partnership with internal and external partners.\nSupport deal structuring, negotiation and transaction execution, from initial opportunity assessment through to closing.\nPrepare high-impact materials and recommendations for senior leadership and global customers.\nScan emerging technologies and market developments to identify future growth opportunities and investment themes.\nCollaborate across international teams to influence strategic decisions and deliver complex cross-functional projects.\nYou will bring:\nProven experience in Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Growth Equity, Corporate Finance or Strategy Consulting.\nExperience supporting or leading M&A transactions, strategic investments or partnership initiatives.\nStrong financial analysis, valuation and modelling skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.\nGood understanding of industries committed to advanced technologies, ideally within semiconductors, AI, photonics, hardware or deep-tech environments.\nExcellent partner management skills and ability to build credibility across senior internal and external networks.\nStrong commercial acumen, critical thinking, and a proactive approach to identifying growth opportunities.\nExceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics for different audiences.\nThe ability to operate effectively in international and matrixed environments, balancing multiple priorities and partners.\nIntellectual curiosity, sound judgement and a genuine interest in emerging technologies and innovation.\nA degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Business, Engineering, Physics or a related field; an MBA, CFA or similar qualification would be advantageous\nLife at Sony\nWe ensure competitive salaries and benefits by using established benchmarking.
