POSITION SUMMARY

Sony Corporation of America (SCA) is seeking a Junior Accountant to join the Corporate Accounting team inthe NYC headquarters. The Junior Accountant responsibilities will include all aspects of the general ledger and month-end closing. This is a deadline-driven environment, as strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and communication skills are required.

This position will be on a Hybrid schedule with 3 days per week in the New York City office locatedat 25 Madison Ave.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Preparation of all intercompany invoices

• Recording of monthly journal entries

• Provide feedback to manager on ways to enhance and streamline the invoicing process

• Daily monitoring of the AP clearing accounts

• Preparation of analysis schedules

• Preparation of bank reconciliations

• Assistwith the monthly accounting close

• Assistwith special projects which may arise

• Honesty, trustworthinessand ethical conduct are material requirements for the responsibilities outlined above

QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION

Your qualifications and experience should include:

• BS Degree in Accounting required

• 1-2 years Accountingexperience

• Experienced in SAP Accounting software

• Must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Must have strong analytical and communication skills

• Adaptable and willing to work in a changing environment where continued process improvement is expected

• Proficiencyin Microsoft Excel is required

• Driven, self-motivated, deadline-driveandgoal oriented

The target annualized base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $78,000. The individual will be paid hourly and eligible for overtime. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
