Our role at SIE is to create and nurture the experiences under the PlayStation brand, a name synonymous with entertainment excellence and creativity.\nDirector, Program Management\nPortfolio & Program Management Office (PPMO)\nAbout the Role\nSony Interactive Entertainment is seeking a Director, Program Management to lead the delivery, governance, and strategic execution of critical e-commerce, payments, and monetization initiatives across the PlayStation platform.\nThis role is responsible for leading a portfolio of large-scale, cross-functional programs that span Product, Engineering, Finance, Tax, Legal, Operations, Customer Experience, and Commercial organizations. The Director will drive alignment across senior leaders, influence strategic investment decisions, and ensure complex initiatives deliver measurable customer and business outcomes.\nThe ideal candidate combines deep program leadership expertise with strong domain knowledge in digital commerce, payments, subscription businesses, marketplaces, checkout experiences, fraud prevention, taxation, and financial operations. They must be capable of operating at both strategic and execution levels, translating business objectives into scalable delivery plans while ensuring disciplined program execution.\nWhat You'll Do\nStrategic Portfolio Leadership\nLead a portfolio of complex, high-visibility initiatives supporting PlayStation's commerce and monetization ecosystem.\nPartner with executive leaders to define strategic objectives, roadmaps, priorities, success metrics, and investment plans.\nDrive alignment across global organizations and mission groups with competing priorities and dependencies.\nEstablish operating models and governance frameworks that enable informed decision-making, accountability, and effective risk management.\nServe as a strategic partner to senior leadership on portfolio health, execution strategy, organizational readiness, capacity planning, and investment decisions.\nCommerce & Payments Transformation\nPartner with Product Management and Engineering leaders to evaluate business opportunities and develop scalable execution strategies.\nEnsure business, operational, regulatory, compliance, and customer experience requirements are incorporated into planning and delivery.\nDrive initiatives that improve conversion, payment success rates, operational efficiency, platform scalability, compliance readiness, and customer satisfaction.\nContribute to the evolution of player experiences in discovering and transacting in their journeys.\nPortfolio Execution & Benefits Realization\nEstablish and maintain portfolio-level planning, dependency management, reporting, forecasting, and executive communications.\nIdentify delivery risks, resource constraints, and execution challenges early and drive mitigation plans.\nOversee complex cross-organizational dependencies across multiple teams, business units, and external partners.\nFacilitate executive reviews, planning cadences, governance forums, and portfolio decision-making processes.\nDefine and track outcome-based KPIs, benefits realization plans, and success metrics that demonstrate measurable business value.\nOrganizational Leadership\nBuild and lead a program management organization focused on execution excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.\nSupport the professional development and growth of program managers and senior program leaders.\nBuild strong partnerships with senior leaders across Product, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Tax, Operations, and Commercial organizations.\nDrive a culture of accountability, clarity, transparency, operational excellence, and customer focus.\nInfluence execution across organizations without direct authority while maintaining strong stakeholder alignment.\nQualifications\nRequired\nSignificant experience leading large-scale technology programs, portfolios, or product delivery organizations.\nExperience leading complex cross-functional programs involving multiple engineering, product, and business organizations.\nDemonstrated success operating within large, matrixed global organizations.\nStrong executive communication, stakeholder management, and organizational influence skills.\nExperience establishing governance models, portfolio management processes, operating rhythms, and executive reporting frameworks.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a track record of translating ambiguity into actionable plans.\nExperience leading mission-critical platforms, large-scale transactional systems, digital commerce ecosystems, or marketplace businesses serving millions of customers.\nCommerce & Payments Experience\nDeep experience in one or more of the following areas:\nE-commerce platforms\nDigital payments\nPayment processing and orchestration\nCheckout experiences\nSubscription businesses\nDigital marketplaces\nBilling systems\nFraud prevention and payments risk management\nFinancial operations platforms\nTax and regulatory compliance\nAdditional requirements:\nDemonstrated expertise in end-to-end digital commerce ecosystems, including revenue flows, customer transactions, payment authorization, fraud controls, taxation, settlements, and subscription lifecycle management.\nExperience in the development and launch of physical consumer technology products.\nPreferred\nExperience within consumer technology, gaming, media, subscription, marketplace, commerce, payments, or fintech environments.\nKnowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies.\nPMP, PgMP, SAFe, range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.\nPlease note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay
