Our role at SIE is to create and nurture the experiences under the PlayStation brand, a name synonymous with entertainment excellence and creativity.\nDepartment overview:\nThe Solutions Engineer builds, tests, and improves employee technology automations and integrations within agreed designs. The role helps shift support toward earlier detection and safe, repeatable resolution while making solutions easy to operate. Working with senior engineers, platform owners, and support teams, this individual delivers defined components and uses production feedback to improve them. \nWhat you’ll be doing:\nImplementation and quality \nDevelop scripts, API integrations, workflows, and platform configurations for agreed employee technology use cases. \nImplement defineddetection and approved remediation steps, including validation, error handling, logging, and escalation when a case cannot be resolved safely. \nWrite and run tests; document configuration, operation, known limitations, and recovery steps. \nMonitor owned components, investigate defects, and improve reliability and usability from production feedback. \nPlatforms and integrations \nBuild and maintainassigned integrations and workflows across employee technology systems, which may include ServiceNow, Moveworks, Jira, Slack, Nexthink, Jamf, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Graph. \nUse documented APIs and integration patterns to map data, handle authentication and common failure cases, and record actions and results. \nContribute reusable scripts, connectors, and documentation that other engineers can use. \nAutomation and AI delivery \nImplement defined detection, self service, support, and remediation use cases with clear eligibility checks, logging, exception handling, and escalation. \nConfigure or integrate approved AI assistedsteps, test them against representative cases, and report inaccurate or uncertain results for review. \nValidate whether a workflow ran and whether it achieved the intended technical result; help service owners assess employee outcomes. \nEngineering practices \nWrite maintainable Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, or similar code as appropriate tothe assigned platform and use case. \nUse source control, tests, code review, deployment procedures, and runbooks to make changes safe to operate. \nTroubleshoot defects within owned components and bring cross-platform design or security questions to senior engineers. \nTeam contribution \nContribute technical ideas and implementation detail during solution design and code review. \nFollow established architecture, security, and engineering standards; raise design or policy questions early. \nWork with operations and platform owners to validaterequirements and hand over completed changes. \nShare reusable components and practical lessons with the engineering team. \nWhat we are looking for:\nRequired \nPractical experience building and supporting scripts, integrations, workflows, or software components. \nWorking knowledge of a relevant languagesuch as Python, PowerShell, or JavaScript and experience using APIs. \nAbility to test, troubleshoot, document, and improve delivered work. \nCollaborative problem solving and clear communication with technical and support colleagues. \nDegree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience. \nExperience using source control and participatingin testing, review, and deployment of technical changes. \nInterest in applying telemetry and automation to practical employee support problems. \nPreferred \nExposure toservice management, endpoint management, telemetry, or employee collaboration platforms. \nExperience with automated testing, cloud services, or AI assistedworkflows. \nBenefits:\nDiscretionary bonus opportunity\nPrivate Medical Insurance\nDental Scheme\n25 days holiday per year\nOn Site Gym\nSubsidised Café\nFree soft drinks\nOn site bar\nAccess to cycle garage and showers\nPlease note, Sony Interactive Entertainment conducts background checks at the offer stage for all new employees (which may include criminal background checks for some roles) and will need to process personal information to support these checks.\nPlease refer to our Candidate Privacy Notice for more information about what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your data protection rights.\nEqual Opportunity Statement:\nSony is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
