Our role at SIE is to create and nurture the experiences under the PlayStation brand, a name synonymous with entertainment excellence and creativity.\nStaff Portfolio Manager\nSan Diego, CA\nWe are seeking an experienced leader with expertise in portfolio management to join our Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) team within the Program Management Office at PlayStation. The Staff Portfolio Manager is responsible for developing and managing processes and procedures to effectively lead the portfolio management capability. This includes prioritizing and executing the portfolio, as well as monitoring and reporting on its overall health and status. This position has a reliance on a matrix of executives and function leaders to advance the strategic portfolio goals and objectives according to commitments, schedules and measurable outcomes. Given the inter-departmental dependencies and shared resources in delivering projects, the position serves within a complex accountability structure. The ideal candidate is a highly responsible, self-directed individual who can work effectively in a matrixed environment.\nResponsibilities:\nPortfolio Management\nDevelop and maintain Portfolio Management standards, processes, tools, and templates. \nCommunicate portfolio information to a wide variety of audiences, including different job levels and functional areas.\nMaintain the portfolio program and resource capacity models.\nUnderstand key alignments and interdependencies across programs within portfolio, partnering with Platform Business leaders to address cross-initiative issues.\nAct as steward for change management within top priority initiatives, as defined by portfolio governance.\nContinuously improve portfolio management processes based on feedback from key stakeholders.\nPortfolio Analytics and Reporting\nBuild and maintain the processes for data collection to drive portfolio reporting capabilities and data-driven decisions.\nProvide analysis on the portfolio and create reports for senior management.\nEnsure reporting aligns with portfolio management best practices and tracks the overall health of the in-flight program portfolio.\nDevelop and evolve the portfolio resource planning and tracking models as needed. \nIntake and Prioritization\nDevelop a program intake and prioritization process, including prioritization criteria models and support for reviewing new requests throughout the year.\nFacilitate the project intake and prioritization process, ensuring alignment with annual business planning and strategic priorities. \nContinuously update intake criteria to understand the impact of program additions or changes on resources, capacity, sequencing, and delivery.\nUnderstand interdependencies across programs and initiatives. \nGovernance\nDevelop and facilitate portfolio governance processes, including operational frameworks and cadences to drive standardization and promote active governance of the portfolio.\nQualifications:\n12+ years’ direct or related work experience leading complex program portfolios in gaming, technology, consumer electronics, or related field\nBachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience\nExpertise in portfolio management, including tools and methodologies\nHighly organized, dedicated, team player that takes initiative and can influence outcomes autonomously in a matrix organization\nExcellent communication and presentation skills, capable of successfully communicating with all levels of the organization\nStrong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities\nStrong analytical, problem-solving skills\nExperience working in a global company and team preferred.\nAt SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.\nPlease note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. \nIn addition, this role is eligiblefor SIE’s top-tier benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, matching 401(k), paid time off, wellness program and coveted employee discounts for Sony products.
