Our role at SIE is to create and nurture the experiences under the PlayStation brand, a name synonymous with entertainment excellence and creativity.\nTechnical Planning Analytics Analyst \nRemote, United States\n*This is a 6 month contract assignment \nAt Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE), we are committed to redefining the future of Finance through innovation, transformation, and operational excellence.\nThis role sits within SIE’s Finance Transformation Office (FTO) and supports PARIS, a business-critical IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) platform used across the SBG Finance planning process. The Business Analyst will help ensure the platform is reliable, available, and appropriately configured throughout budget and forecast cycles.\nWorking across Finance and technical teams, this role will support users, troubleshoot system and data issues, contribute to requirements and testing, and help drive improvements in planning processes, automation, and data flows. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of FP&A and financial planning systems, with TM1 experience preferred and other enterprise planning platforms also considered.\nRole & Responsibilities\nProvide support to users of the IBM Planning Analytics finance planning tool throughout the planning cycle, including annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting. Responsibilities include:\nApplication administration\nNew user setup\nSupport for reports created using Planning Analytics for Excel\nResolution of ad-hoc user queries\nMaintenance of system documentation\nDelivery of end-user training\nPartner with FP&A and technical teams to identify and implement system improvements within IBM Planning Analytics in alignment with the departmental roadmap.\nWork alongside the development team on key workstreams, including:\nRequirements gathering\nTest case preparation\nUnit testing\nDocumentation\nTraining and user handover\nDelivery of system upgrades and enhancements\nProject manage and deliver system upgrades and improvements based on change requests, including testing code updates and roadmap changes as required.\nUnderstand data flows and identify opportunities to make them more dependable and repeatable while strengthening integrations with other enterprise tools.\nContinually improve reporting and analysis processes by automating or simplifying self-service support for customers.\nChallenge the status quo and identify process improvement opportunities that drive innovation.\nPerform other system-oriented duties as required by business needs.\nSkills & Experience\nStrong understanding of finance principles, with previous experience supporting financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes and working with finance analysts.\nAbility to interact effectively with users at all levels of seniority and manage stakeholder expectations across the organization.\n4+ years of IBM Planning Analytics development experience (v2.0 or higher), including knowledge of:\nServer installation and system configuration\nCube and application design\nPlanning Analytics TI and Chores\nRules and Feeders\nPlanning Analytics Security, including Element Security\nMDX and SQL\nPlanning Analytics REST API, preferably through Cubewise Canvas\nHands-on experience with:\nPython\nTM1Py\nHTML\nJavaScript\nExcellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.\nProficiency with Microsoft Excel.\nBachelor's degree or equivalent. \nPreferred Skills\nExposure to master data management solutions.\nExperience with Cognos BI integration.\nKnowledge of Lean/Six Sigma process improvement methodologies.\nEducational or professional background in Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.\nDesire to continue developing technical knowledge and skill sets.\nPlease note: Candidates invited to the interview stage will be required to complete a technical assessment.\nAt SIE, working with our partners, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location. \nPlease note that the individual base pay range may vary based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.\nIn addition, this role is eligible for benefit offerings that include medical, dental, and vision.
