Java Fullstack Developer

Sony India Software Centre is looking for a highly skilled Lead React + Java Full Stack Developer to join their engineering team in Bengaluru. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in both React.js frontend and Java backend development, with a strong foundation in microservices architecture, system design, and team leadership. You will play a key role in designing, building, and scaling enterprise-grade web applications while mentoring a team of developers and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable, high-performance web applications using React.js (frontend) and Java Spring Boot (backend).
• Lead and mentor a team of developers driving code quality, best practices, and a collaborative engineering culture.
• Architect and implement Microservices-based solutions with REST APIs, API Gateway, and event-driven patterns.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to define requirements, timelines, and technical solutions.
• Conduct rigorous code reviews, enforce unit testing standards, and ensure adherence to SOLID principles.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex software defects and production performance issues.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Docker, and related DevOps tooling.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies: sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in leading and mentoring software development teams in an Agile environment.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms AWS or Azure is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with system design principles, scalability patterns, and distributed systems.
• Experience with monolith-to-microservices migration initiatives.
• Exposure to AI/ML integrations or GenAI tooling is advantageous.

Required Skills and Technologies:

• Frontend: React.js (Hooks, Redux, Context API), JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5 CSS3 Bootstrap / Material UI.
• Backend: Java 8/11/17 Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, JWT, OAuth2 / RBAC, Hibernate / JPA, RESTful APIs, Microservices Architecture.
• Database and Messaging: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis (Caching), Apache Kafka / RabbitMQ.
• DevOps and Tools: Git / GitHub, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD Pipelines, Jira, Swagger / OpenAPI, Postman.
