Sony Music Entertainment Canada Inc. is a member of the Sony family of global companies. \nWork Location: Liberty Village, Toronto \nJob Type & Duration: Full-time Internship, 4 Months from January to April 2026\nCompensation: Paid Internship, $18.50/hour\nWork Arrangement: At least four (4) days per week in office, 9AM to 5PM, up to 37.5 hours a week\nThe A&R department is responsible for seeking talented artists for our roster. We are looking for an exceptional intern to join the team on a short-term basis. As an A&R intern, you will have the opportunity to observe and assist in the day-to-day activities of the A&R team. \nThe Role\nPerform in depth online research daily (TikTok, Instagram, notable DSP playlisting & charts, tastemaker channels & analytical tools) monitoring artists, sounds & trends and compile findings to send to entire A&R team on a weekly basis.\nParticipating in weekly A&R meetings, engaging in discussions about artist development and music projects, and documenting key decisions and actions.\nMaintaining tracking tools that assist and streamline A&R research (i.e. A&R Dashboard, CoBrand, Chartmetric etc.)\nCompiling assets and statistics for department marketing tools.\nUpdating A&R local show calendar.\nParticipating in weekly one-on-one meetings to learn about A&R concepts, approach, and discuss industry talking points.\nCompleting other duties as assigned.\nIdeal Candidate \nCompleted or enrolled in a post-secondary or training program with a focus on music, entertainment or marketing.\nPassionate music lover.
