You will have direct input to our mission to democratize data-driven medicine for the ultimate benefit of cancer and rare disease patients across the globe.\nYour Mission\nIn this role you will play a critical role in supporting our compliance operations by managing administrative and regulatory activities that ensure SOPHiA GENETICS operates with integrity and compliance across all markets where we operate.\nThis is an opportunity suited to someone organized, structured, and meticulous-someone who finds purpose in building the operational foundation that allows a strategic compliance team to focus on higher-order regulatory challenges like AI Act compliance and information security certifications.\nThis is a 6-month temporary contract with strong potential to convert to a permanent role based on performance.\nThe value you bring\nAs a Compliance Specialist, you will:\nSupport the management and implementation of SOPHiA GENETICS' Compliance programs to ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations in every country where our products and services are marketed\nOwn healthcare compliance operations, including drafting and reviewing healthcare professional engagement contracts, managing declarations to healthcare authorities, and ensuring adherence to international regulations, local laws, and company compliance standards\nManage enterprise insurance operations, including policy administration, claims processing, renewals, and insurer coordination-freeing your leadership team to focus on strategic risk management initiatives\nExecute contract administration and review across multiple compliance areas: healthcare compliance agreements, data protection clauses, information security appendices, and general terms-learning the company's compliance framework and negotiation playbook on the job\nSupport risk management infrastructure, including maintenance of the internal control framework, implementation of mitigation measures, and preparation of periodic reporting to relevant committees\nContribute to compliance communications, including assistance with policy writing, training materials, and guidance documentation to help SOPHiA GENETICS staff understand legal requirements\nStay current on developments in risk management and compliance to keep the organization ahead of regulatory changes\nRequirements\nBachelor's degree in Law or equivalent legal background (law studies, JD track, or equivalent legal education)\n1-2 years of professional experience, including internships (recent graduates with hands-on corporate legal internship experience welcome; law firm research experience is less relevant)\nFluent English (written and verbal) - this is our primary business language\nOrganized and structured mindset - you thrive on systems, checklists, and methodical workflows.
