You will have direct input to our mission to democratize data-driven medicine for the ultimate benefit of cancer and rare disease patients across the globe.\nYour Mission\nWe are looking for a Senior AI Software Engineer to strengthen our Engineering Hub - a small, nimble team that takes new product ideas from 0 to 1. You will be a builder and a mentor: shipping full-stack product features, and bringing hands-on experience with production LLM applications so the whole team levels up. Your first flagship AI project will draft evidence-grounded gene and variant descriptions, with sources and citations, for clinical interpreters to review.\nThe value you bring:\nProduct engineering\nDesign, build, test, deploy and maintain full-stack web features and microservices, owning components end to end.\nLead code and design reviews; mentor junior engineers and raise the team's engineering quality.\nPrototype fast and iterate - take early ideas to working, reliable software.\nCollaborate with Product, QA, Architecture and PMO to align delivery with product vision and regulatory needs\nApplied AI / LLM\nBuild retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines over curated clinical data sources and internal databases.\nDesign system and task-specific prompts, structured output, and provenance/citation handling.\nBuild LLM evaluation into the product: graders and evaluation pipelines that score accuracy, relevance and grounding, plus guardrails that verify citations resolve and are relevant.\nUse managed LLM endpoints on Azure AI Foundry effectively (caching, tools, structured output), and share these practices with the team.\nRequirements\nMust have:\n5-7 years building and releasing reliable web-based services to production.\nBack-end: strong Java and SQL, microservice architecture.
